lynches new value

Postby RBManiac » Mon Jun 14, 2010 9:00 pm

i grabbed this news clip off some site

NFL Network's Jason La Canfora said on Total Access Monday that he believes the Seahawks would give up a fourth-round pick in exchange for Marshawn Lynch.
La Canfora is speculating -- not reporting -- but acquiring Lynch would go a long way toward solving the Seahawks' power back need. It would also allow Seattle to release Julius Jones, saving the club over $1.5 million. Lynch's 2010 base salary is just $885,000. Jones' is scheduled to be $2.45 million.

if he goes to the seahawks, they will get rid of jones,
what will be his ADP in a new league?

he is young, and has alot of talent, and i think with a healthy seahawks team, he will have more success in seattle than he did in buffalo. Hasselbeck is much better than edwards. only thing that concerns me is forsett hurting his value, but forsett is no fred jackson..he is also slower.

would you take lynch in 6-7 round

Its been a rumor for a while and seems to make sense for the Seahawks. We will see what happens. They didn't take more than that on draft day.

As for ADP. Average Draft Position is derived from a sample size of several (the more the more accurate average) drafts. Given Lynch is not even on Seattle, noone could have drafted under these circumstances yet. It would be impossible to come to an ADP with the information we have.

As for value I think he goes from one muddled situation (Buffalo) who ran the ball far more than most teams to Seattle who throws first and still has a few decent backs. Lynch would probably get a higher % of the carries in Seattle but score the same amount because of the lack of rushing opportunities. I do think his over all value will go up if this happens but its all hypothetical at this point.

I think that Lynch would easily be worth a 6th-7th round pick if he ended up in Seattle. There is no doubt the guy has talent. I think that he has done as well as he could playing behind a poor o-line and with a terrible Qb. I think a change of scenery would make a huge difference for a guy like Lynch who is miserable up in Buffalo.

Yes he would be worth it if he goes but Buffalo still says they have absolutely no intention to trade him.

Guess we will see
