Last years roster: QB's - McNabb, Stafford RB's - MJD, J. Charles, LT, J. Harrison, Sproles WR's - Calvin, Bowe, Crabtree, H. Nicks, Breaston, Burleson
I have already decided to keep MJD and Megatron, but I can't decide my other 2. It would have been Charles before the T. Jones signing, but now I don't know - I'm affraid he'll be splitting time and I can't justify wasting a keeper on that (then again, he might be a future stud). The other 2 spots are probably between Charles, Bowe, and Crabtree, but I would be open to suggestions.
A good four but can see Bowe as a possible as well. I would be looking to package Bowe and Crabtree for a Fitz or AJ.
I like Crabtree a lot more than Bowe as a keeper. I like Bungle's idea, but I would aim lower like Roddy or Jennings. I doubt the Fitz or AJ owner's gonna listen to the deal.
It sounds like the only real decision is Crabtree/Bowe. I traded for Bowe last year thinking it would be his big "breakout" year, but I got screwed. I think Crabtree has the better upside of the 2 -- I like Nicks' upside alot too, but I can't justify keeping him over Crabtree.
Does anyone think I'd be crazy for keeping Charles?? I can deal with him splitting time for 1 year if it pays off in the long-run, but I just don't trust Todd Haley. It seemed like he was making every excuse possible last year to keep Charles on the bench (I think he thinks he's too small).
It's true that Thomas Jones threw a wrench in your plans, but he is 32 years old and has to start slowing down. Charles is still young and valuable, especially in a PPR league. Charles was one of the best RB's in Fantasy over the last eight games in 2009.
Dropping Dwayne Bowe is regrettable, but after his PED suspension last year, he is a red flag. I don't think you want tweo KC Chiefs out of four keepers, so it coes down to Bowe or Charles.
I would go with Charles, and see if anybody will give up a draft pick for Bowe. (I agree with Bungle if you can deal 2 WR's like Crabtree-Bowe for a solid one like A.J., Fitz or Brandon Marshall I'd do that).
Either way, you have a good young quartet of players for a PPR keeper league there.
P.S. I like Hakeem Nicks as well, but I am sure you could get him in your draft, possibly 2nd round. Nicks is a nice breakout candidate, but he's not a sure thing. You can't use a keeper spot on him with the talent you have to choose from.
