Interesting Trade Offer

Postby knight82 » Wed Jun 16, 2010 5:38 pm

hi,

in one of my CBSsports.com leagues someone offered me Frank Gore and Percy Harvin for Marion Barber and Larry Fitzgerald , im pretty unsure , i like Gore much more then Barber but Fitzgerald is my Top Receiver and i dont really see Harvin putting up his kinda stats , very tough decision

here my roster , standard scoring , NO ppr

QB Joe Flacco
RB Maurice Jones-Drew
RB Marion Barber
WR Larry Fitzgerald
WR Marques Colston
WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh
TE Dallas Clark
KI Matt Prater
DE Saints DEF

bench
QB Jay Cutler
RB Thomas Jones
WR Mario Manningham
WR Roy E. Williams
TE Greg Olsen

thanks in advance for some opinions

I would make that deal. There is an obvious downgrade at WR, but the upgrade from barber to Gore is too good to pass up. MJD/Gore will carry you most weeks. Harvin is no Fitz, but I don't think 8 TD's is out of the question with Favre at QB.

I think I would have to go with that as well. Pretty even, IMO.

Its one of those things where you gain in one area and lose in another. Gore and the Niners should be in for a better year where the Cards likely won't. With Boldin gone Fits coould see more doubles than in the last few years when you really couldn't focus on a particular guy.

Percy can put up solid numbers. Drafted him last year in a Dynasty and was very happy with the results. The only worry is the migraines.

I like to have good RB's and MJD and Gore are going to be tough to beat. Your team is solid wither way. Its whether you want to be solid at WR or RB. Wr's are easier to find on the WW so I would make the trade

I think you are well ahead on that deal. Gore is a huge upgrade over MB3 barring injuries to either and Fitz is not the Fitz with ol man WArner throwing to him. He is still elite and will put up great numbers but he does take a hit in value with Leinart throwing to him. Take Gore and Harvin and consider yourself lucky in this deal.

ok thank you all for your answers , i just accepted the trade , if Fitz stays consistent and Barber has kind of a bounce back year , i bite my ass :P but for now i think its a good deal , if Gore can repeat his last year stats and Harvin can make even more as WR not just as Returner then i think its a good deal . i mean both RB's have 2 other guys who will take away some carries from them but i think/hope that Felix Jones and T. Choice will take more from Barber then Coffee and Dixon in SF from Gore . for now im happy although i already miss Fitz :P but ok : no Warner , no Boldin could really mean a drop in his stats .
