Some people just shouldn't be allowed to reproduce. The parents of a 2 year old baby, who appears to be almost morbidly obese, allow the youngster to smoke 40 cigarettes a day!!!

If news reports are to be believed, a lit cigarette has become one Indonesian toddler’s soother. Two-year-old Ardi Rizal puffs on 40 smokes a day—a habit he picked up from his dad at just 18 months old. A YouTube video shows the chubby boy sucking on a long cigarette with remarkable ease. He hams it up for a crowd, making faces, blowing smoke rings, and threatening to lick the lit end of the cigarette. Rizal’s mother says, “He cries and throws tantrums when we don’t let him smoke. He’s addicted.” That’s as obvious as his inadvertent role: poster child for tobacco control.

Smoking is HUGE in Indonesia. The tobacco companies focus on children so they have lifetime customers. Well, as long as they live, anyway.

I think I saw something about this a couple weeks ago, or a story similar. Pretty effed up.

A little off topic, but I had a discussion the other day about cigarette butts littering our world. I can't recall the numbers exactly but cigarette butts are, by FAR, the most littered piece of trash in the world. And people think it's ok, because the butt is made of cotton right? Wrong. Cigarette butts never completely degrade. And the number of toxins soaked up into each butt is insane. I understand how convenient it is to simply toss a butt out the car window or out of sight, but the impact that has on this earth is devastating.
