Is Britt worth the #7 pick?

Postby THEOT » Thu Jun 17, 2010 10:24 pm

Hi I'm in a Dynasty league, PPR all TD's 6 pts, we start 11, 2-RB, 2-WR, 2-Flex, and I have the #5 and #7 overall picks in the upcoming rookie draft. And I've been offered Kenny Britt for my #7. While I don't need the WR now, he could be a hell of a player as Tennessee's only real WR threat in the years to come. And I'm not sure I'll get as good of a WR in the rookie Draft at #7. Most likely Golden Tate would fall to me there. I'm also thinking I could flip a couple WRs to a guy who needs one and has like 6 RBs and maybe land Grant or Mendenhall. Plus I'd still have the #5 pick for another RB like Tate or Hardesty. What do you guys think? My roster is below, thanks in advance, WHIR.

QB - Rodgers, Leinart
RB - MJD, Rice, McCoy
WR - AJ, Wayne, White, Jennings, Rice, Murphy,
TE - Davis, Keller

42/701/3 isnt bad for your rookie year. I'd say he ennds up being a decent WR for his career. I don't know if you are going to get a stud but a reliable player to fill the spot when needed.

Vs

A player you have no Idea what he will do. Benn is better option than Golden Tate in my opinion. I" think Benn has a decent chance of playing this year and doing ok.

Tough call. I like certainity personally and would make the trade.

I'd rather have Britt than all the rookie WRs minus Dez. I'd try to get a little bit extra from him though, cause Tate or Hardesty is likely to drop to that spot and might be worth a little more.

well this assult charge thing on young is worth monitoring. Its possible he could be suspended when it all settles, that drops some value in britt.

I think im undervaluing britt even if young is back.

i just dont see it on that team for him to produce WR2 numbers this year. There are plently of WR3s that are breakout canidates to be high end WR2,s or even low end WR1s Like Mike Wallace, Nicks, Aromoshodu, Donnie Avery

Dont judge Donnie Avery. Prior to being injured he was starting to put up sick rookie numbers...hes slightly better than Desean Jackson tallent wise, but you wouldnt know it cause its not there to see with his injury and the horrible rams offense last year.

He will produce when healthy and i rank him a top 20 WR easy when he is 100 percent

what im saying is..avery added 15 pounds of muscle this offseason.

he has had 47 catches over 600 total yards, and 5 TDs on a horrible horrible Offense that got shut out at times or just kicked field goals half the times. That is what true talent is..all this while he was battling nagging injuries. some fixed problems at pass protection, and bradford and I see avery finishing as top 20 easy. with double digit TDs. Especially from an offense that will be playing from behind. Rams will score more this season...they cant do worse than last season...LOL Its all up hill from here

I would take Britt at #7. Outside of the top 4, I think this is a weak rookie class. Britt showed some flashes that he could play last year.

I'm hearing Golden Tate has been turning heads at Seahawks' camp so far. I like Britt, but I'm not sold on the Titans' passing game, particularly if VY gets suspended. Besides, Tennessee is all Chris Johnson, all the time.

I'm thinking rookies go like this;

1. Ryan Matthews
2. C.J. Spiller
3. Jahvid Best
4. Dez Bryant
5. Ben Tate
6. Demaryius Thomas
7. Montario Hardesty
8. Arrelious Benn
9. Golden Tate
10. Mike Williams (TB)

Very good chance you can get Demaryius Thomas at #7 maybe -- and I like his situation better than Britt. Golden Tate would be available to you for sure.

I'd keep the pick.
