Dynasty Trade Help

14 Team H2H Dynasty League

I Get: Matt Schaub/Knowshon Moreno

I Give: Aaron Rodgers/Marques Colston

I know it would seem like I'm crazy, but I could use the RB help. It's a dynasty, and I draft 10th in the rookie draft before the season.

Here's my team:

QB Rodgers, Quinn
WR Jackson, White, Colston, Garcon, S. Moss, Robiskie
RB Jones-Drew, Portis, Hightower, Harrison, J. Davis, BettsNA
TE Miller
K Carpenter
D Gamble, Kampman, Suggs, Sharper, Cromartie, Flowers, Henderson, Crowder, Peterson

I plan to replace Betts, Quinn and Davis in the rookie draft (3 rounds only).

I know Jackson faces the hold out possibility so I'd be down to White/Garcon/Moss (or whoever I draft). Is it worth it to do this deal?

It's not bad. I am a little jaded as I don't like Moreno that much but I would look to see if he would be willing to take Jackson instead of Colston.

We talked about Jackson but couldn't come up with a right deal. I don't think he figured I'd go for swapping the two WR....Here's his team anyways:

QB Schaub, Freeman, Garrard
WR Maclin, Moore, Cotchery
RB Stewart, Addai, Moreno, Benson, Henry
TE Finley, Cooley
K Crosby
D Session, Greenway, Hawk, Maualuga, Harper, Landry, Bailey, Ellison, Phillips, M. Williams (Min), Tatupu

He needs more help then you do... get him to toss in a pick or swap and IDP to get an upgrade there. Colston and Rodgers are more valuable in face value then Moreno and Schaub so you may as well get something else out of the deal

Thanks for the help. Might be best for the deal to fall through since he's of the mindset that he deserves more in the deal (making Rodgers/Schaub even and Moreno > Colston). He sent two deals earlier in the discussion that were Rodgers/Colston/2rd round pick for Schaub/Addai/Cooley and Rodgers/Colston/3rd for Schaub/Moreno.

On the flip side, what RB do you think I could land straight up for Jackson? I know it's hard to answer based on not knowing teams, but just something I could throw out. Or even, what do you think it would take to land a RB like Beanie Wells?

I'd want a lot more to give up Rodgers in a dynasty league, esp a 14 teamer. He's a first rounder in a startup draft, and in the original deal you're not getting equivalent value back. Guy is crazy to think Schaub or anyone but Brees is near equivalent.

I think VJax for Wells is close in all formats, with VJax being worth a little more in PPR. Would have been a lot easier to do a deal like that a couple weeks ago. I think you gotta hold the bag on VJax until it's clearer what his status is. Until then you're only choice is to get an older guy from a team set to rebuild. VJax for DeAngelo or Gore isn't the worst thing in the world.

Would I just be better off holding still and hoping to draft a rookie RB to help me out? I'm not the most knowledgeable with football (this is one of two leagues I play a year), but it's looking more and more like Rodgers should not be moved. I could try and move V Jax, but I am kind of hesitant. He might miss games, but if he plays, he should do well....right?

Problem is he could miss a lot of games. Some chance, albeit small, he could miss weeks 1-15 due to holdout + a 4 gm suspension.

Any of the top 5 rookie RBs (Mathews, Best, Spiller, Tate, Hardesty) are likely to help you this year. What picks do you have?

Even Gerhart has some potential to help as a goalline vulture and a few receptions.

I don't pick until the 11th pick (so 11, 22, 33). It might be hard to land one of those 5 RB, but I'm sure I can grab one that would help me.

I would not do the trade. Rodgers is a good young QB and I am not sold on Moreno.

Some sleepers in the Rookie draft - Dexter McCluster and Dan Lefevuer, if not one of the four big names going into the draft, McCoy especially.
QB: BREES, Cutler
RB: TURNER, MCGAHEE, R. JENNINGS, Leshoure, D. Williams, Hillman, Hunter, Dwyer
WR: CRUZ, GARCON, Amendola, Edwards, D. Baldwin
TE: GRAHAM
