The presence of Stewart makes me nervous to even keep D will.
Is it a safe Idea for me to draft Stewart too? I def have the upside of not worrying about injuries, but my downside is starting them both...is it ok to start both of them? Like I got PT in my other slot, and i can start 3 RBs so the rest will be Will and stew
It would not be ideal if they are going to be your RB1 and RB2.
Looking at last season (and ignoring PPR) there were only (3) weeks where they both scored double digit points. There were (4) weeks where they both scored less than 10 points.
If DW is clearly the best back on the board come your pick, I still think you should take him, but I would look to work out a trade for one of these guys. You could do worse, they are both great backs, and there will be some weeks where you would do well to start them both, but there will also be days where the team struggles and they both suffer. This would be putting all your eggs in one basket, and you know what they say about that...
Not a good move for you RB. They are in a true time share limiting the potential for huge games. Also, when they do let the hot RB go then your RB2 now becomes useless. It's a really tough situation to deal with. While everyone who owns DWill would love to have Stewart you simply can't afford to draft him where we will go in most leagues.
Keep Williams and hope that it is Stewart who goes down.

Agreed. It is not a safe idea to draft Stewart. Not to mention the bye week loss you will take by having both out.
Hacim13 threw out some real good stats even though he got lost towards the end. Starting both is not smart. When you draft him there you are essentually putting yourself in a position to start them both. If Carolina does well you win if they don't you lose.
Too many eggs in one basket.

It is great to have both of them just in case one of them gets injured. But, you will just kill your team if you have to start them both every week. there will be a week or two where they will both go off for 100 yards, but that won't happen very often. Plus, you lose them both on Carolina's bye week. As much as I love Stewart, drafting him with a higher pick just dosen't make sense for your team.
i agree with the others. it'd be great to have Stewart on the bench, but you dont want him as rb2. Look somewhere else for Rb 2 and then try to draft him as RB3. Or better yet, try to work a trade for Stewart later.having both is nice because if one gets hurt the other will put up huge numbers. i do love Stew as a keeper for next year b/c i think Deangelo will be traded.
I had D Will last year and although I was always looking over my shoulder for Stewart, D Will was still a better player to have. Besides, Stewart is much more injury prone. You DON'T want to have Stewart on your roster to for the same reason that everyone else mentioned. If Carolina is taking a beating then you will be ruined. Not to mention the 2nd guy could lose most of his points for the week to someone on your starting roster.
I had Stewart on my team last year and I traded for DWill in the offseason. I am keeping them both (Stewart in the 7th and DWill in the 16th) to go with Frank Gore and Andre Johnson.
We play a flex, so on weeks where Carolina is playing a poor Run D, I'll probably play them both. That being said, I'm still going to try to grab another good RB early to play in the flex on the weeks that I don't like their matchup.
I do like that you wouldn't have to worry about injuries, in fact if one did get injured, the other would be a monster.
If JStew is the best RB on the board, I wouldn't hesitate to pick him. Just make sure you get a pretty good option behind him.

Well, seeing as how J. Stewart has never missed a game due to injury in his entire NFL career, and DWILL was the only one out of the two to miss games last year(which was 3 total), I'm not sure how you came to this conclusion.
