DBowe worth anything?

Postby keithk0 » Tue Jun 22, 2010 9:02 pm

I playin a ppr league with bonuses for 7+ recepts and 120+yds. Weak at WR, need a keeper, other choices are Driver, Mason and Holmes. How does anyone feel about his propects this year?

I like Bowe and think he is underrated this year. The Chiefs are bad but Cassell is a decent QB and if Charles is able to keep defense a little more honest this year Bowe can post decent numbers. Out of those you mentioned he is miles ahead imo.

I agree with bungle, I also think Bowe is very undervalued this year. He is a good #1 WR on a bad team, this could mean a lot of garbage time catches and yards. The only concern is him getting in the coaches doghouse again. If he stays on Haley's good side, he will be a steal in the middle rounds.

Although I think Bowe is a solid WR I personally think the steal WR on that team is Chambers. Chambers did in 9 games what Bowe did in 11. I think the 2 work well together and over a season both can achieve decent production. I still see Bowe as the better WR but Chambers not far behind and the odd chance of out producing him. Bowe should get 60% of the catches but Chambers will get his to.

Round 6 or Round 12. The math tells me Chambers might be a better value.

I agree with Cowboy. There are 2 WR I like this year that a lot of others think are washed up - Chambers and Driver. Of the names you mentioned I would keep Bowe and try to draft Driver late. I would be leary about having both Bowe and Chambers since KC's passing game isn't exactly The Greatest Show on Turf.

i like Driver the best out of those listed even though he's old. Bowe is a 2 catch, 19 yards, 1 TD specialist, and that doesnt really play into your scoring system well. i think Driver will have more big games in the GBay offense.
