drafting Best over a low WR1?

Postby RBManiac » Wed Jun 23, 2010 11:40 pm

our 10 team ppr league.

3 keepers, so our first round this year is ultimatly our 4th round.

we can start 3 rbs, and i have 2 as keepers with one WR1. say matthews or Shonne green doesnt fall to me. Is there anything wrong with drafting Best or Tate in the first round(4th) if a low end WR1/high end wr2 is available?

I watched best run..he actually looks better than matthews, and all this talk coming out of Detroit that he is slated for a big worlkoad makes me salivate over him more.

how would you consider a move like that? Some Risk/high reward?

Nothing wrong with drafting Best over a low level WR1 but I would pass on Tate.

it depends on what WR's you are talking about, but I would have no problem draft Best.

Who are your keepers?

I'd say Best is going to have a good season this year but I'd be reluctant to see a huge falloff at WR by the time you pick again if you already have 2 RBs on your roster.

Help with mine?

True, LOL You can never have enough RBs. ;-D Last year I thought I was gonna be the FKing MAN with Gore, PT, Westbrook, and Kevin Smith coming in as keepers. Too bad the last 2 were failures.

I am not sure Best will be the main back yet. I would not take him over any WR1. The numbers receivers are putting up now matching RB totals. Team often have 2 WR's over 1000 yards. I might even take a good WR2 over Best.

Not to mention they are the Lions and will again always be playing from behind which mean throwing a lot and could mean a lot of Smith since he showed to be a decent receiver.
