Jimmy John's. Their sandwiches are the best ever, and they're a decent bargain.

My best friend from Mizzou lives in Charleston, Illinois, where Jimmy John's was founded. He said the Jimmy John's there actually went out of business for a few years.

Chick-Fil-A and Five Guys are both very good, but my favorite place for a quick bite by far is Potbelly Sandwich Works.

I used to love A and W. I actually gained 15 pounds in teen burgers and rootbeer floats one summer. I've pretty much sworn off fast food outside of Subway and Pita Pit. Dairy Queen is delish too.

What do you get from DQ outside of ice cream that is so good?

I like most of the stuff there. Their ingredients just seem to be a better quality than most places. All of the ice cream treats are also awesome in the summer.

They seem to be doing OK now. They've got stores everywhere, including five in Lincoln alone. Most startups have financial trouble early on. It's pretty normal.

This reminds me of the fad from the 80's to go to In and Out Burger and get the bumper sticker and cilp it to say "In and Out urge"

Because of our hectic schedule (and a tiny bit of laziness) I'm reluctant to admit how much my family and I eat out. My son loves to go to "Old McDonalds". I hate it.

I guess if I had to pick one, I'd go with Quiznos. But it's closed down now for renovations.
There's also an "express" chiness place, but the last time we got something there, the food wasn't that good and I sent some extra time on the potty that night.

At this point, though, I'm so sick of eating out, if we didn't for several months, I wouldn't mind at all.
