7th round draft pick

Postby bale » Wed Jul 28, 2010 12:27 pm

Leaning towards another RB before I start thinking TE/DEF. Here are some of the top available:

R. Williams
Forte
C. Williams
F. Jackson
Barber
B. Jacobs
Bradshaw

I am leaning towards Forte. He will probably get the ball a lot this year, and he has had decent reception totals the past 2 years. Any thoughts? Thanks, WHIR.

My team:

10 man, standard-ish scoring, PPR
QB, WR, WR, WR, RB, RB, TE, W/R/T, K

Flacco
MJD, Addai
Fitzgerald, S. Rice, S. Smith (NYG)
Yay for Offensive Coordinators!!!

I would go with Barber or Cadillac instead of Forte. The Bears have Chester Taylor now, don't they? He'll probably take some of Forte's PPR value.

What are your options at TE?

Winslow
H. Miller
Shiancoe
Olsen
Z. Miller
Carlson
Heap
Daniels
Shockey
Keller

I am fairly certain I could get one of the Millers or Olsen a few rounds later, which is why I haven't thought about TE's yet.

I have all of those RB's bunched together so none of them stands out much better than the other. I would probably go with Forte or Bradhsaw since it is a PPR. Chester might take a few third down receptions from Forte but he isn't that special. Bradshaw will be sharing backfield with Jacobs but Jacobs is an injury waiting to happen. Neither O-lines are all that great but if I had a gun to my head I would pick the NYG oline. I would probably stay clear of Greg Olsen. Martz is a TE killer.

I see more potential in Forte than the other RBs on the list; especially in a PPR league, who is in an offense ran by Martz. My pick here would be Forte.
