Chance to apply for 1 opening in a keeper league

Postby TRENT13 » Thu Jul 29, 2010 12:17 pm

We need a replacement in our league. The draft is a slow forum draft that we conduct on a forum we use. We actually play on Yahoo. The draft has already started but this team has yet to miss any picks as their keepers were retained at the forfeiture of the first 3 rounds and Meachem was retained super cheap. Explanation on how keepers are kept is listed at the bottom of this post. This team actually is on the clock now and makes 2 of the next 3 picks. It is Free.

If interested email me: afstallion@yahoo.com Please include your name, age, location, experience level, and a little bit about yourself.

Here is the roster so far:

WR-Andre Johnson

*No players drafted in the first round can be kept.
(This keeps plenty of the top talent in the draft each year.)

*Keeping a player drafted in the 2nd round will make you forfeit your 1st round pick the following year

*Keeping a player drafted in the 3rd round will make you forfeit your 2nd round pick the following year

*Keeping a player drafted in the 4th round will make you forfeit your 3rd round pick the following year

*Keeping a player drafted in the 5th round will make you forfeit your 4th round pick the following year

**Keeping a player drafted in the 6th round will make you forfeit your 5th round pick the following year

Basically whatever round a guy gets drafted you lose 1 round earlier the following year if you keep him.

This not only keeps talent in the draft pool each year but if you are great at drafting you get rewarded too if you drafted a gem in a really late round that you decide to keep.

*Keeping a player that went undrafted will make you forfeit your 9th round pick the following year

*YOU CAN KEEP UP TO 5 PLAYERS.

If you want to keep a player for consecutive years then that player obviously will not have a draft value to base his cost to keep since he was kept and not drafted. We then base it on his final ranking divided by how many teams we have(14) and apply that same "+1 (round )system" and voila we have their cost. If after applying this a player finishes with a ranking of 1-14 he cant be kept since that would be the equivalent of a first rounder which are not allowed to be kept.If you hate math dont worry you dont have to do any. I do all the work for the teams by emailing them the keeper costs each year.
