Need Keeper Expert Help: Trading keeper for draft pick

Postby hpham45 » Thu Jul 29, 2010 2:56 pm

I'm in a 16 team non ppr keeper league where everyone keeps 2 players (one per position)

My keepers are DeAngelo and Moss. None which I'm thrilled about especially Moss. I have two offers for him on the table. I'm currently picking 13th out of 16 teams.

First offer: Trade Moss for 9th overall pick

Second offer: Trade Moss for 6th overall pick and swap second round picks. He would get 20th overall and I would get 27th overall.

Here are the best players available to draft:
Mendenhall
Charles
Mathews
Grant
Moreno
Wells
Best
McCoy
Austin
Wayne
Marshall
Schaub

Mendenhall and Mathews are gonna go 1, 2 so I've been told. Is it worth trading up to 6 for any of these players and drop back in the second round?

If not them I'm inclined to trade up to 9th and try to get Moreno, Wells, Austin

But is Moss worth trading for the #9 overall pick? I really don't want him as a keeper beyond this year. Trading him would give me #9 and #13 picks in the first round.
