big trade WHIR

Postby RBManiac » Tue Aug 03, 2010 11:44 pm

0.5pt/ppr 3 keeper league
10 teams

QB Cutler
QB Palmer
RB Pierre Thomas
RB D.Will
WR/RB Jacobs
WR Greg Jennings
WR Miles Austin
WR Mike Sims-Walker
WR/TE J. Witten
TE B. Celek
k
d
Bench
Jacoby Jones
Louis Murphy
Ben Tate
Johnny Knox
Devin Thomas
Deji Karim

Ive just been offered

Roddy White
Vince young
Arian Foster
Reggie Bush

for my

Witten
Jacobs
Palmer(just got TO)
Ben Tate

I can clearly afford to trade my TE since i have Celek, and Jacobs could possibly be outplayed by Bradshaw again or get hurt, so losing jacobs doesnt really bother me too much, what im nervous of is Palmer possibly having a career year. Also Foster, Bush and vince young are so wild cards...as of now id rather have foster over Tate.

Looking at my team the way it is...would i be better off not taking this trade?

I would say NO WAY! DO NOT TAKE THIS TRADE. All your players are better than his. The only guy I would like from his team is White. Witten is a beast, Jacobs will return to glory. Palmer is worth it to keep around and Tate is better than Foster in the long run. Plus, really, when are you gonna start him over Jacobs, Pierre and DeAngelo

I think i would make this deal. First of all you are getting the best player in the deal with Roddy. Your WR's are going to be lethal with Roddy, Austin and Jennings. I have Witten/Celek ranked very close in value, so I have no problem with you dealing Witten. I think Bush is an upgrade over Jacobs in a PPR league, so you win there. You are losing some at Qb with V. Young. But, Cutler is going to be your every week starter anyways. I am personally staying away from the mess in Houston with the RB's, I am not going to get screwed by Kubiak again this year. Overall, i think this helps your team.

I have to disagree with 49er....

Palmer is your started not Cutler at QB.....
Do like Bush over Jacobs
and Even though I don't like Roddy...he's the best player here....

So not terrible but I think I would pass, would not want to go into the year with Cutler and young as my qb's.......

Good Luck!!

just curious, why don't you like Roddy? he had 85 rec, 1153 yards, 11 TD's and 164 targets with a 2nd year Qb. You don't see his numbers improving as Ryan gets more expierence. Plus, the Falcons are saying that he is in the best shape of his career. I don't see what there is not to like about Roddy.

That's tough... Geeze... But 0.5ppr is huge when you have Bush and White... But then again, if Witten does what he has the past couple few years, hopefully he'll get 90 Rec. But I would say depends solely on schedules.. Go to FFToolbox and they have a link for strength of schedules, they help TREMENDOUSLY, check out who has the better schedules and take it from there if the Saints have one of the easiest schedules against Running Defenses then maybe take it. When trades are close like this, I turn to that strength of schedule option... it works great!! Let us know whatcha end up doing... I know, again, BUSH kills in leagues with PPR, and White... that's a lot of receptions...

Id say if it wasn't for Palmer being in there, I would do it... What other QB does the other team have? Actually copy and paste their team if ya could.
