10 Team Keeper League. We must keep one guy, and have the option to keep a rookie if we've had him since he entered the league, but we sacrifice our first pick. Here are the people already being kept with the draft order this way as well. (Rookie keeper in parenthesis).
Team 1 - Rice Team 2 (Me) - Rodgers Team 3 - P Manning Team 4 - Benson Team 5 - Brees Team 6 - Jones-Drew Team 7 - Chris Johnson, (Moreno) Team 8 - S Jackson Team 9 - Turner Team 10 - Gore (A Peterson)
With all of these guys already off the board, that leaves my options with Andre Johnson, Mendenhall, Greene, D Williams, and Ryan Matthews. Ryan Matthews value in this league is much greater as I can keep him forever and sacrifice my first round picks, similar to team 10, who was lucky enough to draft Adrian Peterson his rookie year. What do you think?
Andre Johnson. Same situation as Matthews, except for 1 big difference - we know exactly what Andre Johnson is all about. He is proven, and he is still reasonably young. I value RBs over WRs just like everyone else, except I value the top 4 WRs over the 5-9 ranked RBs.
bump, so people are suggesting I take Andre at wideout when I won't see a running back until pick 19?? Dumb, it's gonna be a running back, who should i take?
Change your style and you'll get more help. You ask for advice and then call the advice "dumb". Not the best way to win hearts and minds. If you don't want to act on someone's advice, that's perfectly fine. No reason to publicly deride someone who took the time to give their take on your question.

Good Luck
Exactly! Lord knows I have gone against the grain hundreds of times but don't put a guy in your options and get mad when everyone picks him. Going by the book means picking Johnson but going by the book rarely wins titles but almost always keeps you from finishing last.
