Just Drafted in 14 Team League, Want Feedback, WHIR!

Postby brad_fox87 » Thu Aug 12, 2010 9:46 am

This is my first post on the football forum after making several on the baseball one. I WHIR for any comments. I just drafted in a 14 team league with standard ESPN scoring except passing tds are 6 points, and it was a snake draft with me having the 3rd pick. Here is my team with the round they were picked in parentheses.

QB Brees (1)
RB Charles (2)
RB Wells (3)
WR Steve Smith CAR (4)
WR Crabtree (5)
WR/TE Aromashodu (9)
TE Winslow (7)
K Tynes (14)
Def Eagles (8)
Bench Forsett (6)
Bench Donald Brown (10)
Bench Cotchery (11)
Bench Schillens (12)
Bench Cassel (13)
Bench Texans (15)
Bench Julius Jones (16)

Any comments on how you think my team looks? Was Brees the wrong pick at #3 with MJD and Rice still there? Since it's 6 pts for a passing td, I thought that might raise his value a little, and I knew I'd still get two solid starting rb's in rounds 2 and 3. Also, was Steve Smith at round 4 a good pick? He's ranked in the twenties on espn but with their qb situation, everyone in the draft was avoiding him. Thanks and WHIR.

I believe you did make a mistake with your 1st pick, but that's just my opinion. I would have taken MJD or Rice over Brees any day! Even Frank Gore probably. That forced you to take a Tier 2 RB and Tier 2 WR. You're team isn't bad but keep your eyes open for waivers and free agency.
