12 team league. I drafted at the 10 spot. This was the first draft of a new keeper league. We keep up to 3 player for 3 years. standard scoring with yardage bonuses and long TD bonuses. Also, get 1ptt for 6-8 recptions and 2pt for 8+, RU/RE TD and PATD worth 6pt. Start 1qb, 2rb, 2wr, 1te, dst, k
Here we go:
QB: Kevin Klob RB: Ryan Mathews RB: Jamal Charles WR: Andre Johnson WR: MIke Sims-Walker TE: Jermicheal Finley DST: Cardnals K: S. Grahm (baltimore)
Bench: RB: Beanie Wells RB: Donald Brown RB: Marrion Barber WR: Wes Welker WR: Johnny Knox QB: Ben Roths.
I think this is a solid team IF my running back pan out, but then thats why I took a lot of them. DST is weak, but I typically play the waiver wire game for match-ups. What are you thoughts? Thanks! WHIR
yea i agree QB: 7.5 (if kolb can end up being a halfway decent QB then he can really be valuable in Reids pass happy offense, but its too early to say hes gonna be great) WR: 10 (awesome WRs...if welker can get healthy, having andre and wes out there at the same time could be unstoppable) RB: 6.5 (this one is tough to grade because there are so many question marks. will matthews reach his potential as a rookie? how much will charles lose to thomas? how much will marber continue to get in an essentially a 3 RB committee? is addai gonna start getting replace? there is definitely potential here but there is no one there that i would say is a sure thing. very high risk/reward situation IMO)
overall: 8 (id be more confident if u had a sure thing at RB tho. i would say ur WRs could pick up the slack for RB if only it were straight PPR instead of the way you have it)

THANKS for you comment on mine. I actually really like your team. Great WR core and with Welker on your bench, you have a real legit back up. I love the Ryan Mathews pick up as well and with Beanie Wells and Donald Brown as your back ups, you're real solid
Great team overall, your WR is impeccable, there are a couple of questions at QB, I’m not as high on Kolb as most people are and Roethlisberger as a QB2? If Kolb Pans out I would almost prefer to start Matt Moore against STL in week 8 over Big Ben, but that’s just me and my obsession with match-ups. Running backs should be good, I wouldn’t be surprised at all if wells wasn’t in your starting line up week in and week out with the cardinals schedule, STL twice, SEA twice, Oak, TB, and KC…I would say look at upgrading QB2, Lineart, Moore, Hasselback, Cassel and Edwards all have a good match-up for week 8.

Your team is good enough that you may not need to start thinking about trades right away, however, in my opinion, the two best players to trade with name recognition that have considerable risk this season are Welker and Barber, look for the guys in your league that drafter a QB early as they will probably have missed out on depth at wither WR, RB or both, by packaging a solid well known player at each position you could leverage a stronger QB2 or a stronger WR3...i think all your runners even without Barber are strong enough to carry your team, so don't get too caught up trying to improve.

I will say that I am not a big believer in Charles this year. The one thing we know about Thomas Jones is that he is dependable and will always find a way to get his yards. I like Kolb as I think he will be a good, albeit underrated QB in the league. Big Ben? hard to tell with him, the suspension and who knows where his head will be when he gets back. I would have avoided him but I am sure you got him late because of the suspension so it's a low risk/high reward pick. I think your RBs have a lot of unknowns and that may come back to bite you, even as a Cowboys fan I can't say who's going to get the load in Dallas.
i like your team a lot, my only gripe, and it's a small one, is that i'm not sold on sims-walker at all, the guy fell off the map last year in the 2nd half, plus he has a lot of knee injury history. that said having welker and knox make up for it, especially if welker can come back to 100% sometime this year
also not sure how your keepers will work but if it goes by round Donald Brown could be a stud next year with Addai becoming a FA and not necessarily a lock to be re-signed
