Help with last keeper. WHIR 100%

Postby saemick » Fri Aug 20, 2010 5:46 pm

In a 12-team keeper league where we can only keep players drafted after round 5. I drew the 12th pick in the draft & can keep 3 players. I have decided to keep:

Moreno @ 5.12
Nicks @ 12.1

and for my last spot, I can keep either of the below RB's (18th = last round):
Justin Forsett (18th)
Arian Foster (18th)

Standard scoring, NON-PPR

Who should I keep as my 3rd player & why? I'm completely torn.

I'd go Forsett.
Arian Foster is the sexy preseason pick with Tate going down.
However I don't count Slaton out, and, in fact, think he's a great sleeper who will at least split carries.
I think Forsett emerges as the undisputed #1. Yeah, it's Seattle, they suck. But almost any #1 back is worth more than a RBBC backfield.
In Forsett's two games started he went for 253 and 3 TD's with a 6.5 ypc average.

Is that an abberation?
Well for the season he had a 5.43 ypc average, trailing only Chris Johnson and Felix Jones for rushers with more than 100 carries.

It seems to be a split decision so far, so see if this helps. Forsett is on a offense that is looking to rebound from last year, there passing game should be better with everyone healthy and a much better left tackle. Foster is on one of the best offenses in the league, is the early season sleeper pick and should gain more carries with Tate going down. Right now if it were me I'm taking Forsett because he has produced late last year and has not real threat to him in the backfield right now. I still don't trust that Houston won't give the bulk of the carries to Slaton this year if he can not fumble and stay healthy. Good luck.

Thanks for the help with mine.

Foster all the way especially since Tate is out for the Season, and the coaching staff for Houston has had nothing but praise for Foster this spring. He's also playing in a lot better offense. I believe Leon has played in some pre season, so who knows how its going to play out in Seattle

I appreciate all the help thus far, but I'm still completely torn. all valid points above, but I guess I'll pose a new question:

When are you seeing each of these guys getting drafted? Would it be smart for me to KEEP whoever's ADP is highest and then draft the other guy in the later rounds?

Just a thought, but any additional help/insight would be greatly appreciated

Forsett, because I think he will end up being the full time starter bfre long, and, because he has t higher ADP.

Help me too? viewtopic.php?f=18&t=469677&p=3207666#p3207666
