Who should I keep?

Postby P. Griffin » Sat Aug 21, 2010 3:10 pm

In my league you can keep one player from the previous year if he was drafted in the 5th round or later and remained on your roster all season; the kept player will count as your 4th round pick. I am having a hard time deciding between Brandon Marshall and Knowshon Moreno. It's a 12 team league and I pick 12th in a typical serpentine draft. We start 1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 1K, 1 DST. Scoring for RBs and WRs is 1 point per 10yds, 6 points per TD. I am leaning toward Marshall and thinking that my picks at 12 and 13 will be another top WR and a RB who is probably higher on my list than Moreno. What do you guys think? Thanks in advance, and thank God it's almost football time again! Go Seahawks!

I guess my first thought is.... how in the world did you win it all last year and ONLLY have Marshall or Moreno to choose from?
Regardless, I'd do one last check on Moreno's injurey and then eep him.

Thanks for the response. Sadly, I came in 3rd last year. I'm not sure if you noticed that I am only allowed to keep a player who I drafted in the 5th round or later. It's a pretty competitive league so Moreno and Marshall are the caliber of players I was able to get that late.

I think Maven assumed you finished 1st last season because you are drafting 12 out of 12. But since this really isn't a keeper league you probably drew that position.

I think Denver's offense will struggle this season. Alot of younger guys and a complicated offensive scheme. I would keep Marshall who projects to be a top 10 WR in 2010.

Ah the dreaded bookend of a snake draft. Go with Marshall and you'll have maybe the 3rd best keeper in your league. He's a stud even catching from Chad Henne in Miami.

Help with mine?: Greg Jennings as a keeper in the 3rd? Pick 4.
