Keeper Trade Question - WHIR

Postby Sports4lyf » Sat Aug 21, 2010 10:21 pm

I'm in a league with standard ESPN starters/scoring (2 rb, 2 wr, 1 rb/wr, etc) and we keep 4 players.

My team is stacked, but am considering making an offer. My roster is: AP, MJD, Turner, and Moss. I have picks 6, 9, 10, 11, and 16 as well so I am in very good shape.

I am considering making an offer to the team with the 1st pick who has Brandon Marshall. I am thinking about offering Turner and probably my 9th pick for Marshall and their 1st pick. This would enable me to essentially trade Turner and my 9 for Marshall and Ryan Mathews.

Thoughts on this deal? It's intriguing to me, but I have been doing a lot of trades and want to make sure I am not just thinking too much.

Leave a link and I will gladly help in return. Thanks!

Wow sick team. 3 of the top 6 RBs.

Sounds like a fairly even trade and a tough decision. I originally thought you should make the offer, but elite RBs are at a premium and Turner is probably still a top 5 or 6 back. Before getting hurt last year he averaged better than 1 TD per game and averaged 4.9 yds/carry. Having him as your 3rd best RB is just ridiculous. Pick up an elite QB and an elite WR with your first few picks and coast to an automatic playoff berth.

While Mathews is stepping into the role of the late, great LT of 2008, Turner should be more of a solo stud back than Mathews, who has Sproles to step in.
