Trade help needed in VERY deep dynasty league - WHIR

Postby rockchalk » Mon Aug 23, 2010 6:01 pm

I'm in a 20 team IDP dynasty league with a 5 player practice squad for players who've played less than 16 NFL games.

We start 3 LB and mine are all injury risks. I'm starting Barnett, Merriman and Tatupu. I have no backups and the best FA option is Quincy Black of TB.

We only start 1 RB and mine is AP. I have J Stewart as my backup with CJ Spiller on my practice squad.

I've been offered David Harris for Spiller. I'd probably drop Seneca Wallace if I made the deal. Is this a good deal?

Leave a link and I'll help in return.

I don't know your scoring but generally dealing a legit offensive player for an IDP is a bad move. You are not that deep at RB to be able to do that. Starting 3 LBs is tough, really tough when you get into a 20 teamer.

I take it guys like Durant, Lee Rivers are all gone? I've seen Boley floating around in couple of fairly deep IDP leagues, not 20 deep though.

Edit: Scoring is too long and complicated to post, but Harris and Spiller are both projected for 280 pts exactly this year.

Yeah those guys are all owned. I traded Dansby for Stewart and Anthony Gonzalez earlier this week with the intention of picking up Dan Connor, but he got snatched up minutes after I accepted the trade. Should have made the pick up before I accepted, but thems the breaks I guess. My RBs are a lot deeper than most. To have AP and two 23 yr old #1s in waiting is far more than most teams. Some guys are starting the likes of Larry Johnson and Donald Brown.

Thanks for the help.

Well, that is who I would target then. Someone is willing to pay for a RB. FInd him, get a project back or WR and your RB in return. Also, IDP pis teh easiest thing to find on the wire for teh most part. Again, not all that familiar with a 20 man league. Did one a few years ago and helped a buddy last year with one and hated them both :-b

Hawthorne, Henderson (may have been dropped last year) Daryl Washington, Dobbins, McClain, J. Johnson (Balt) Hell, anyone on Balt! Anyone left for you? :-b

I've never played with IDP, but I think you can afford to give up spiller unless you think he will have a starting job in the near future. AP and Jstew will be solid for a while

Wow! Your scoring must be crazy!

If that is what you need, go for it. As a Dolphins fan I would say try Channing Crowder if available or a kid named Koa Misi (rookie). I hate giving up a kid who could be the next big thing for a LB that you might not need in the near future.

Having 3 RB's that talented in a 20 team league screams like you have trade bait there, so I'm all for moving him. Being a dynasty though, I would want a legitimate, long term return for Spiller unless you think you are one piece away from winning it this year. Flags fly forever.

Wow. This is a confusing league. I think I like Spiller longterm. You'd need more back than what you were offered.
