M Forte or R Mendenhall? WHIR

Postby 619ers » Mon Aug 23, 2010 8:35 pm

I'm in a 1PPR league and was wondering if I should keep Forte or Mendenhall? I like Forte but am just worried about him having to share the ball with C Taylor. Thanks in advance for the help!

Forte looks mighty good this year. I prefer him over Mendenhall for sure.

Please help me...

Mendenhall and it's not even close. PPR or not, Mendenhall is a much better RB on a better team. Forte, in my opinion, was a one year wonder. He's really just not a very good RB. Sure he'll see some receiving yards in Martz' offense, but Chester Taylor's as good receiver as well and is going to mitigate some his receptions, leaving you with a mediocre runner on a pass-first team. Mendenhall will out-rush him, out-score him, and his receptions and yardage won't be far enough behind to make Forte worth it.

Mendenhall for sure. Martz is going to bring on the air show in Chicago and if Forte even stumbles coming out of the gate and isn't effective then Taylor will be taking over most of the carries.

Help with mine?

I agree with those that say Mendenhall for sure. Especially with Ben out PIT will just be running and dumping off all day long. Mendenhall, Ward and Miller will get all the points for the first 4 weeks for sure.

Help?

I would take Mendenhall, but I like Forte. He was really banged up and just sucked it up all year. Word is he has his burst back, and it sure looked it the other night. Chester Taylor looked slow.

Again, I would take Mendenhall, but that's only because I'm not wild about Forte's situation. I expect a bounce back for Forte.

I would go with Mendenhall and it's not even close. Forte is going to be on a run first team and in a RBBC. Mendenhall has no competition for carries.

The PPR aspect at least makes me consider Forte, but it's still gotta be Mendenhall. Forte only succeeded due to bulk in carries, which he will surely not see in the Martz system with a capable backup behind him.

100% Mendenhall and YES, it is not remotely close. Other than Faulk, who was amazing with or without Martz, Martz hasn't done anything positive for RB. And remember that Chester Taylor is also a great pass catching RB. Mendenhall is the clearcut RB with absolutely no competition for carries and without Big Ben will be leaned on even more. It's honestly not even close.

Mendenhall...not close....but for another reason...

Chicago's o line it TERRIBLE!! Forte is a RB3 at best this year....Don't waste an early pick on him....you guys have it wrong C Taylor shouldn't be a huge affect on Forte, actually may help....but nothing can help their o-line.
