Young/Austin/Forsett for Favre/Moss? WHIR

Postby ShaqAttaq13 » Tue Aug 24, 2010 5:59 pm

I originally had a separate deal with this owner, however I realized I wasn't getting the best deal and got this offer out of him.

I give: Vince Young, Miles Austin, Justin Forsett
I get: Brett Favre, Randy Moss

My roster: (12 team auction league, starters in bold)

QB: David Gerrard, Vince Young, Matt Cassell
WR: Brandon Marshall, Miles Austin, Marques Colston, Hines Ward, Malcom Floyd, Jacoby Jones
RB: Ricky Williams, Justin Forsett, Marion Barber, Felix Jones, Fred Jackson, Jerome Harrison, Montario Hardesty
TE: Dallas Clark
K: ?
D: San Fran

Not a huge fan of Favre after news of Rice and the problems with Harvin, but with 2 QBs being required in this league good ones are damn hard to come by. Not sure if I'm gonna get a much better shot at a top 10 QB than this. Whaddya think?

I'd do it, given your current QB situation. I think VY is going to be pretty good this year, but since your other QB is Garrard I think it's worth doing this trade.

Can you take a look at mine?

This looks like a pretty good deal for you. Moss over Austin is only a slight bump but the improvement at QB will be crucial. My belief is that Favre can make high school kids look like top 20 wideouts.

The only caveat is that you are already thin at RB. Fortunately, Forsett as a starter on a Seahawks team with a questionable O-line is not much to lose. It can be hard to pick up quality RB depth in a league like this, but I would try to target a trade with the owners of Spiller or Arian Foster to improve there quickly.

I like Forsett, but you have to do this trade. Favre is still a HUGE upgrade over Young and will give you a legitimate starting QB. Moss is an upgrade over Austin, I'd feel much more comfortable with Moss right now. Do it Do it Do it.
