Keeper League: Which RB to keep ? I have too many. WHIR

First off, I want to say this board is awesome and thanks to all the posters out there who provided invaluable recommandations on this site over the last 3 years that I've been playing FF. ;-D I've learned a lot the last of couple of years.

Ok here's my situation: I'm in a standard scoring yahoo league. 10 teams and I finished first last year (after finishing 2nd to last the previous year) which means I'll be drafting 10th this year. I get to protect 3 of the following players from my team:

QB: Rodgers, Palmer
RB: Ray Rice, Pierre Thomas, Rashad Mendenhall, Ronnie Brown, Ryan Grant, LeSean McCoy
W/R: Steve Smith (CAR), S. Holmes, Housmandzadeh, Crabtree
TE: J Finley

I'm going with Rodgers and Rice as my first two choices. I'm thinking RB is the way to go for my 3rd keeper. For some reason, I'm leaning to keep Thomas over Mendenhall. I'm thinking Thomas will have a break-out season and with the NO offense, he will get more goal-line opportunities than Mendenhall. Anyone agree ?

thanks in advance

It's certainly possible that PT improves from last year. The value right now, however, is with Mendenhall. Can you trade in the offseason? You have quite a few keepable players. Trading Mendenhall and Grant for AP or something similar would be great.

Alternatively, I'd bet if you keep Mendenhall instead of PT, you can offer a trade after the draft with whoever picks PT and get something out of it.

I'm not a huge fan of Mendenhall, but I'd probably still keep him on value alone. What I'd really like to do, if you can trade before the draft, is trade Mendenhall/PT/Ryan Grant/McCoy/Ronnie/Jesusyouhavealotofrunningbacks for a top WR. I feel like you should be able to get a clear #1 for one or two of those backs. You could also just keep Mendenhall and then trade him for a top WR afterwards.

I would keep Mendenhall over PT. Mendenhall is one of the few backs that are not involved in a RBBC and he gets goal line carries.
