Rate my team - WHIR

Postby dmendro » Wed Aug 25, 2010 1:01 pm

I'm not as big of a Football buff as I am a Baseball nut, so if my team sucks, don't be afraid to tell me.

12 Teams
The important league rules are: 1 PPR, 5 PPTD, 4 PPPassTD. Big TD's get bonuses. Oh and we're Team QB's.
We start 1 TQB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 DST 1 Kicker.
Here's my roster:

TQB Green Bay
TQB Arizona
RB Mendenhall
RB Moreno
RB Wells
RB Harrison
WR Colston
WR Maclin
WR Mike Wallace
WR Aromashodu
TE Shiancoe
TE Watson
DST Ravens
DST Titans
K Jeff Reed
K Shayne Graham

Welcome to the Cafe!
Your QBs are good, especially for a 12-team league. Arizona is looking a little shaky but Green Bay should be one of the top ones this year.

You have plenty of potential in your RBs but none of them are really established starters who we know what to expect from this year. Still, I'd definitely guess that you'll have two good starters every week and I think that Harrison is a pretty big sleeper this year.

At WR, Colston and Wallace will probably be your top guys. Maclin and Aromashodu are huge question marks and I wouldn't expect either to be very consistent this year, but you might be able to get some good production out of them. You'll probably be fine with Colston and Wallace, but looking at things right now your depth isn't great. However, that's not to say that Culter and Kolb will do great this year and turn Maclin or Aromashodu into a stud.

Your TEs are interesting. Shiancoe wasn't looking like a great option a few weeks ago, but now that Sidney Rice is out for a while and Percy Harvin might have his own injury issues, he could get a lot more targets and turn into a good fantasy option. Likewise, Ben Watson has plenty of potential, but Cleveland's passing offense doesn't look like it'll do too great this year.

Your DSTs are fine and the Ravens should definitely be a top-5 DST.

Finally, you don't need two kickers because usually there isn't much different between kickers week-to-week and if you need a new starter it's easy to just pick one up. I would look to pick up some depth at RB or WR.

Unfrtunately we are required to keep a backup at kicker. I know, it sucks.
