week 1 defense?? WHIR 100%

i currently have MIN defense on my roster which i picked up in the 2nd to last round
i like to play my defense based off matchup so MIN might not be the best choice
who should i take (the first team i list is the team i can pick up)

CHI vs DET
CLE @ TB
SD @ KC
TEN vs OAK
ATL @ PIT
DEN @ JAC
CAR @ NYG

I wouldn't start MIN @ NO. I've got both CHI and SD and haven't decided which one I'll roll with in week 1. Of those listed, TEN is the only other one that I'd consider, but they'd be third on my list, at best. SD is a good pickup for the first few weeks, while I'll drop CHI, either before week 1 if I go with SD in week 1, or immediately after week 1.

SD has been a good defense and has such good matchups those first few weeks...hard to not add them.

I agree, if you do not have to face the NO offense I wouldn't.
I think CHI should be fine against DET but there is the CJ factor.
TEN at OAK jumps out since I'm not sure OAK has anyone to spark the offense with a hurt Bush.

I decided to go with SD so I could drop CHI and add a RB (Cadillac Williams). Although I'm stocked pretty well at RB (SJax/RBrown/Foster/Harrison and now Caddy), I've learned that you can never have too many options at that position. I wouldn't start CHI for a few more weeks anyway, and SD just has so many good matchups the first few weeks...
