I took MJD at #8 in a 10-team non-PPR because people before me were afraid to pull the trigger. I have my concerns but at #8, why the hell not? I was still able to land 2 elite WR in Randy Moss and Miles Austin with my next 2 picks. I made sure to get Rashad Jennings just in case. IMO def worth #8 pick

Any word on his participation in practice today? I'm sitting on the fence on whether or not I start him or Pierre Thomas alongside Gore.

Start him, no questions asked. The only reason I wouldn't play him is if I saw that he was benched on Sunday, which I guarantee won't happen.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that there are "questions and doubts around the league" regarding the health of Maurice Jones-Drew's knee.
Schefter confirms that Jones-Drew will start Sunday, but it sounds like there is serious concern about whether he'll be 100 percent. It's never a good sign when a running back has a knee injury, period. We can't imagine sitting MJD in such a favorable matchup (the Broncos' front seven is incredibly weak), but it's a situation to track closely early in the year. Jones-Drew owners must grab Rashad Jennings. Deep leaguers can pick up Deji Karim. Sep. 8 - 2:12 pm et

Amid speculation and reports to the contrary, Maurice Jones-Drew (knee) insisted Wednesday that he is healthy.
"There is no injury," Jones-Drew said. "It’s a non-issue. It’s a rest issue. We’ve been working hard since April, and coaches and I decided it was better to rest." MJD finished the preseason with -2 yards on six carries.

uh anyone know why he only had like 12 carries today and Jenning's severely outperformed him? Did he get yanked? Was he hurt? Did they pull him because of the slaughter? Any information would be appreciated.

He's not hurt. I believe the game got out of hand quick, and the Jaguars decided to rest him. Start him with confidence in WK 3. MJD will get things going.

Yeah I think he gets it going this week as well. I sure as hell hope he does anyways. That game was embarrassing. They turned the ball over 7 times I think.
