Trade: R. Mathews, M. Bush, D. Mason for Fitz? WHIR

Postby Metsown » Sat Aug 28, 2010 9:44 pm

I got offered Larry Fitzgerald for Ryan Mathews, Michael Bush, Derick Mason, and possibly Santonio Holmes in a 12 team PPR league. My WR situation is pretty bad and I have a surplus of RB, so would you do this even tho the Cardinals QB situation is shaky?

WHIR ;-D

Roster below

12 team PPR league

QB Tony Romo
RB Ryan Matthews
RB Pierre Thomas
RB/WR Shonn Greene
WR Dwayne Bowe
WR Hakeem Nicks
TE Kellen Winslow
D/ST Steelers
K David Akers
BN Jahvid Best
BN Arian Foster
BN Jay Cutler
BN Derrick Mason
BN Santonio Holmes
BN Michael Bush
BN Malcom Floyd

Wow you really are stacked at RB but this would be giving up way too much for Fitz. In my league Matthews was taken 2 full rounds ahead of Fitz. Maybe Bush and Best for Fitz may even be giving up too much. Might want to try that duo for a lockdown big WR like Moss or Megatron.

Thanks for the help with mine.
I would take Fitzgerald. It wont matter if its Leinart or Anderson at QB, Fitz will still put up great numbers this season. At RB you would still have a nice group with PT, Greene & Foster.
Mason is old & will lose targets now that Boldin is there. Depending on how McFadden does when he is fully healthy, Bush may see fewer carries. Matthews could have a nice season but being a rookie you never know how he'll hold up to the punishment of the NFL. It seems like you are giving up a lot but with the huge upgrade at WR I think its worth it.

Is your league PPR?
How are Moss and Megatron(who was awful last season) that much better than Fitzgerald in a PPR?
Also, Bush doesn't have all that much value to me as I have 4 other RB who are ahead of him. Mason and Holmes would be probably the 4th and 5th best receivers on my team after this trade. I don't see them as big losses.

Thanks for the input though.

I would not break up Mathews and Green.

Give him Foster or another RB and Bush for Fitz. Take a look at other teams maybe get an upgrade over Fitz. Is he a bad ars? yes, will Matt play a huge role YES. Will teams double team him now that boldin is gone...>yes.

See what other options you might have is all I'm saying. And KEEP Mathews!

I would not do this trade at all. You are giving up way to much. You could give less for another WR just as good. Do not do this trade.
