Michael Bush was the first-team tailback, ahead of Darren McFadden, to open Raiders OTAs Wednesday.
Bush got the first carry, with McFadden behind him in team drills. The battle is ongoing, but Oakland appears to have acknowledged that Bush is the superior early-down option. McFadden's draft status will have no bearing on the competition. Ideally, Bush will lead the team in carries while McFadden is used mostly in open space and contributes more in the receiving game.
About freaking time. Could the Raiders make 2 smart decisions in a year? Praised for their draft, and putting the proper personnel on the field?
