12 Team PPR...11th Pick. What You think? WHIR

Postby Lightzout36 » Sun Aug 29, 2010 8:40 pm

Hey,

I had the 11th pick in a 12 team PPR redraft league. Outside of the PPR all other scoring is standard. The picks are listed in the rounds they were chosen.

We start (1) QB, (2) RB, (2) WR, (1) TE, (1) K, (1) DEF, (1) Flex WR/RB/TE

Randy Moss
Calvin Johnson
Lesean McCoy
Jermichael Finley
Ronnie Brown
Malcom Floyd
Marion Barber
Jay Cutler
Laurence Maroney
Chester Taylor
Mohammed Massaquoi
Devin Aromashodu
Willis McGahee
Davone Bess
Lawrence Tynes
Bears D

I know my RB have questions, but I felt picking that late I did better going with two stud WR. Also, we had a major run on QB so I waited and took Cutler who I believe can be a great play this year. I like my depth at WR as well. If Ronnie Brown stays healthy I feel this team has a shot.

Any thoughts/suggestions?

You're set on WR, and in a PPR league that is a good thing. And I like Cutler as a value pick. I really don't like MCCoy as a RB1 though. He has good upside, and he'll catch passes which is a good thing for you. But he will not get a lot of carries, and if he does I don't think he is anything special talent-wise. but you're right if Brown does what he is capable of this year, he's your real RB1 anyway.

Help?

I also am in a 12 team PPR and had the 11th pick... I'll post my draft so you can compare. quarterbacks get 6 pt tds, so they got early and often....your team looks ok I just think you are struggling with mccoy as you 1rb. I on the other hand am a little weak on the WR front, but I have RB depth to trade with. currently trying to package spiller and hester for miles austin

You're team doesn't look too bad.

Wr is probably your strongest and deepest position. If calvin can have a good comeback year that would be great. Moss is gonna put up his usual numbers maybe even a little more due to the contract year. I also like Floyd to have a breakout year depending on vjax's situation.

your rbs are probably your weakest postion. MbIII is in a 3 headed rbbc, brown is with rwilliams, and coming off any injury, Taylor is splitting time with Forte at best.

Mccoy is an upcoming back but plays on a pass happy offense in philly.

Jay cutler is gonna be playing for martz now so we will see how it goes. He has some good weapons around him so he should put up good numbers.

If i were you i might try to package some wr depth and upgrade your rbs.

Good luck
