10 team Keeper league- how'd I do?

Postby Red Winger » Sun Aug 29, 2010 10:04 pm

Standard scoring except all TDs are 6pts -no PPR. I kept 3 representing picks 1-3. I had no 4th round pick, so did not draft til end of round 5 (last pick b/c I was league champ last year.) We start 1QB 2RB 3WR TE K DST.

QB Matt Schaub HOU **K
QB Kevin Kolb PHI
RB Chris Johnson TEN **K
RB Arian Foster HOU
RB Ahmad Bradshaw NYG
RB Ricky Williams MIA
RB Thomas Jones KC
WR Miles Austin DAL **K
WR Hakeem Nicks NYG
WR Malcom Floyd SD
WR Johnny Knox CHI
WR Mike Williams TB
TE Vernon Davis SF
K Lawrence Tynes NYG
TDSP San Diego Chargers

right now I feel like I like, but not love my team- Like we've been on a date that went fairly well, and I'm like, "yeah, I'll see her again", but not like, "Wow, that's the best date ever!"

Haha I can see why you would feel like that. With Schaub and Kolb you are set at QB, no need to worry there. You have 1 stud at both RB and WR but as you go down the list it falls pretty quickly. I love foster, bradshaw won't be as good but he's still a pretty good RB3 so you're pretty good there. After Austin your WR staff falls off hard. Nicks and Floyd are possible breakout players this year and I guess knox/williams could be good, but I feel that you could trade depth here to obtain a jennings tier type WR.

it looks solid.. id definitely try to upgrade at RB. You have a couple of guys who are stuck in real timeshares and won't be terribly dependable.

Your team is fairly average. Selling your fourth for a Championship (definitely worth it) has cost you. Hope for a break out.

This comment is horrible. In a 10 team league where you start 3 WR's, no one is going to trade a top 12 WR for a bunch of scrubs. Especially since they'd have to release players.

I'd wait till someone's QB gets hurt/sucks and try to trade Kolb in a deal for WR's or RB's.

Boz, you are right, no one would trade a WR like that in my league - as a matter of fact, I got Austin and a 6th for Jennings and the 4th. He ain't trading. Though it was SO worth it to trade that for the crown! Fortunately Foster has locked down the starting gig, so that risk looks (for now) like it's panning out. Thanks to all for the help.
