I was reading on ESPN that they are downgrading MJD to late first round with his current injury worries. What do you guys think???

I think late first round is a bit much. Even if I were inclined to move him down my cheatsheet, it would probably only be to the point that he'd be behind Ray Rice and Frank Gore. I'd still take him over Turner, Jackson, Mendenhall etc. The Jags don't seem to be that worried, just make sure you get Rashad Jennings also if you draft him.

In an auction, I'd be slightly less likely to bid what he's worth, but in a snake you can't get too cute. If he slips to pick 5 or 6, you have to take him.

How about PPR? Assuming he was previously ranked 3rd, where would you rank him compared to Rice, A. Johnson, and Gore? I think I'd move him below Rice for sure, but not sure about AJ or Gore...

All I've found from what I would consider reliable sources says it is a bunch of bunk. False rumor. Does anyone have any substantiated report of injury?

No - the false rumor was that he had a surgical procedure. I don't think anyone is denying that he has a sprained knee, which is why Jacksonville kept him out of the last two preseason games. It doesn't sound too serious, but when you are using your Top 3 pick, sometimes better to be safe than sorry... I didn't see anything on ESPN saying they were dropping him out of the Top 10 however, as the OP said.

This small injury worries me. I am having doubts that MJD can make it through the year carrying that heavy workload.

So would it be the right move to draft Gore 4th assuming the top 3 go CJ, AD, Rice? It's not like Gore has been the picture of health the past few years. Would AJ be a safer option in a 0.5 PPR league? Before the knee scope news broke I was content with drafting the last top 4 RB on the board, now I'm not sure at all. :-S
