QB: Schaub, Flacco RB: Turner, SJax, Greene, Spiller, Hightower, L. Washington, K. Huggins WR: Knox, Berrian, M. Floyd, J. Gaffney, D. Mason, L. Robinson TE: J. Finley
So the question: Trade for a WR now, or hold tight? I can start Steven Jackson, Michael Turner, and Shonn Greene every week. That seems pretty intimidating, but my WR corps is trash.

Honestly I think you're in bad shape here, especially given that you award .5 ppr. You just can't go into the season with Knox as your WR1. If I were you I would try and deal Turner for a top WR and someone else. SJax will get it done for you as a RB1, and Greene is a great RB2. Spiller might be the offensive ROY. Hell, you might even try dealing Flacco as well, as he is almost a waste sitting on your bench. But you have to address your WR situation.
I think you trade now for a solid WR. Try to package cj spiller/sjax or green for a good WR. Im sure someone in your league is hurting for a top 10 back.

Only being .5 PPR, I think you'll be OK...
Mason isn't flashy, but he's gonna catch 70+
Floyd is looking to be the guy (after Gates) in SD.
Berrian is going to have to fill some of the void left by Rice's hip.
Gaffney is the #1 in Denver.
Knox could end up being the #1 in Chicago.
Rosinson is the #1 in STL.
Finley, Schaub, and your RB are good enough to compensate for iffy WR's....

Were in a very similar format so I feel like I can accurately assess this one.
I wouldnt necessarily call your receivers trash, though I can see how if you were to compare your receivers with those of other teams, you would be a bit worried. Knox, Floyd, and Gaffney are all top targets on teams that love to throw, so I do see potential for all three to be mid WR2 to high end WR3s by seasons end. That said, I would still make a move to at least get some consistency in the form of a WR1. Im willing to bet that since you went so RB heavy, someone in the draft had to go receiver heavy. Berrian, Mason and Robinson dont do it for me and I think Finley is a bit overvalued.
I would explore trading CJ Spiller, Bernard Berrian and JerMichael Finley while their values are relatively high. TE is a deep position and Im willing to bet you would do fine with a TE like Cooley, who is severely undervalued (look what Owen Daniels did with Kyle Shanahan, Cooley has been a borderline top 5 receiver BEFORE McNabb and the Shanahans came to the Skins).
You might be able to get someone like Anquan Boldin or Chad Ochocinco along with Cooley for such a package. It would bring better balance and consistency to your team. I know ppl are knocking Ocho, but hes averaged 1300/8 with TJ getting 90 rec per season, that shouldnt change drastically with TO there and I even think it might help. Also note that Ocho and Colston's stats were virtually identical last season yet Colston is seen as a viable WR1 while Ocho is getting devalued to fringe WR2.
I would not jump the gun on making a trade for a WR. There will be capable WR's on the wire early in the season. You also have some potential with Knox and Robinson, they could be productive on a weekly basis as #3s.
If there is any back I would trade, I would dangle CJ Spiller out there. If he produces in Week 1 & 2 then you can sell high. Hightower is a serviceable #3 RB and flex especially in PPR. Don't trade Finley as he may have a tremendous season.

in a 12 team league this would be good...10 team league and this is awful....Turner has reduced value in .5 ppr, Greene is unproven to carry the big load, and I don't like SJax this year....Starting Knox and Berrian is ugly...and your backups have very limited upside since they aren't extremely talented (unlike an Aromashodu or a Harvin etc.)
VERY solid team all around, except for WRs of course. Your RBs are top notch and deep, so I would look to make a trade for a WR now. Your WRs are not trash, but you will have a tough time picking the right WRs to play each week, as I don't think they will be consistent. Every other position is rock solid. Nice job.
In a word: yes. As you said, obviously if oyu can upgrade at WR that woudl be huge. BUt don't give up too much value early on... obvioulsy you will always be flexing a RB but if some point you could move Spiller or Perhaps hightower for a WR2 I think that would be huge for you.
