My 2 Teams

Postby bigh0rt » Mon Aug 30, 2010 5:57 pm

Just looking to get a little feedback on my two teams. One team I like quite a bit, while the other I'm pretty down on, and have been since the draft completed last night. Both are 12 teamers, the first being a keeper league (1 player). Scoring is pretty standard and shouldn't weigh too heavily on rating the roster, so I'll spare the read. Thanks in advance...

TEAM 1 (Bench in Parenthesis)
QB: B. Favre (D. McNabb)
RB: M. Jones-Drew, R. Mendenhall (A. Bradshaw, T. Jones, K. Huggins)
WR: M. Austin, M. Crabtree (M. Floyd, J. Gaffney, M. Williams)
W/R: T. Owens
TE: J. Carlson

It's IDP, so I'll just leave those out...

TEAM 2 (Bench in Parenthesis)
QB: B. Favre (C. Palmer)
RB: C. Johnson, R. Mathews (L. Washington, K. Huggins, J. Ringer)
WR: C. Johnson, M. Crabtree (M. Floyd, J. Gaffney, L. Naanee)
W/R: J. Stewart
W/TE: J. Carlson
TE: K. Winslow
DEF: Ravens

Team 1...serviceable QB's, good RB (but lacking depth)...also not a huge Mendy fan but i do like Bradshaw...good WR (but still not completely sold on Austin)...i'd probably start Floyd over TO at FLEX (or Bradshaw if you can)

barring injuries or Mendy or Austin busting you should compete for the playoffs...not sure you have enough to win it but playoffs are a crapshoot anyway

Team 2 i like better...not the biggest Mathews fan but he does have potential...same with J-stew. love the WR. definate contender

Team 1:
Old, injury prone QBs, but if healthy you should be ok here. Good 1/2 punch at RB; Bradshaw is a good RB3. Austin your lone true #1 WR, but you got great depth here and one of those guys should step up. TE: not sold on Carlson, hasn't done anything preseason. Upgrade if you can.

Team 2:
Palmer good insurance for Favre and even starter many weeks. Awesome 1/2 Rb punch; JStew as an Rb3 is sweet. Like your first team, Calvin is your lone legit #1, but you got good depth here too. Winslow is solid, if unspectacular at TE.

Especially with MJD's current heath issuses, I like team 2 much more. Your starting running backs are stellar. I'm not a huge fan of your WR depth on either one. Starters are good though. I've been shying away from Austin this season with the addition of Dez Bryant.

Sorry, Ort! Completely forgot. :-/

TEAM 1 (Bench in Parenthesis)
QB: B. Favre (D. McNabb)
RB: M. Jones-Drew, R. Mendenhall (A. Bradshaw, T. Jones, K. Huggins)
WR: M. Austin, M. Crabtree (M. Floyd, J. Gaffney, M. Williams)
W/R: T. Owens
TE: J. Carlson

Bradshaw started Game 4 last night. That's a good sign. Otherwise RB depth is scary. Your counting on an injury/poor performance to Cadillac or Charles. MJD rocks, Mendenhall scares me a little (and I have him).
I LOVE THESE WRs.
Not too high on Carlson, but that's the sacrifice you make to get the other players, right?

TEAM 2 (Bench in Parenthesis)
QB: B. Favre (C. Palmer)
RB: C. Johnson, R. Mathews (L. Washington, K. Huggins, J. Ringer)
WR: C. Johnson, M. Crabtree (M. Floyd, J. Gaffney, L. Naanee)
W/R: J. Stewart
W/TE: J. Carlson
TE: K. Winslow
DEF: Ravens

Better starting RBs, but not a good backup in the group. Leon Washington did NOT start game 4 :-? That whole SEA RB situation is a mess.

I LOVE THESE WRs MORE. Great starters. Floyd and Gaffney provide depth. Not sure Naanee will hit a HR, but he might be a good fill in. I suspect you'll find a better WR pick up around week 3.

I love the Ravens defense this year, too. That Rookie LB looks good. Might be a SB team, right there.
