RB options Which to snag after the draft.

Postby Goozik » Tue Aug 31, 2010 10:44 pm

10 team Auction draft, I ended up with this. Very happy with the everything but my last two RB's. Lot's of upside on the waiver wire after the draft, thinking I should make a switch.

Drew Brees

Calvin Johnson
Roddy White
Greg Jennings
Malcom Floyd
Bernard Berrian

Jahvid Best
Ryan Grant
Ahmad Bradshaw
Reggie Bush
Marion Barber
Ricky Williams

Greg Olsen

Lawrence Tynes
Cleveland

Which of these to snag and drop Ricky or Marion?
Kareem Huggins
Tim Hightower
Dexter McCluster
Leon Washington
Donald Brown

Leaning towards Dexter or Leon.

Hang on to Marion, drop Ricky. Go after Hardesty, they love him and Jerome Harrison isn't getting it done.

IMO, none of those guys on the waiver wire gets you any more guaranteed than who you already have.

If I had to drop one, it'd be Ricky Williams. The only way those free agents wind up being real productive is if someone ahead of them gets injured. But who's more likely to get injured than Ronnie Brown?

Even if Cadillac goes down, Huggins is still running with Tampa Bay's offense -- which isn't explosive. Ricky Williams has a little value even in tandem with Brown. If Brown goes down, Williams is an immediate RB2.

Hardesty is an unknown commodity right now. Leon Washington has to contend with Forsett, a trendy sleeper pick this year, plus Morris. Arizona refuses to give Hightower the reigns, and beanie should get more touches this year than last because his blocking has improved (supposedly).

I would look at trading a few player and try to upgrade at rb. Maybe bundle a couple guys and see if anyone bites.
