The roster below is from a 12 team league pay league that pays out $600 to the championship winner. I had the 1st pick and the draft was done on August 28th, 2010. Please rate my draft and where it can be improved upon.

QB: Carson Palmer, Ben Roethlisberger
RB: Chris Johnson, Rashard Mendenhall, Ryan Grant, Kevin Jones
WR: Anquan Boldin, Dwayne Bowe, Michael Crabtree, Robert Meachem, Kevin Walter
TE: Owen Daniels
DEF: Ravens
K : Stephen Gostkowski

QB is dicey. Big upside in Palmer, but he has been pretty bad in recent years.

There is no garuntee Big Ben returns and his directly in the flow either.

True it may be shaky at QB, but I'll take my chances with it as I feel what I got for RB's makes up for the risk taken at QB. Getting CJ, Mendenhall, Grant, & Boldin with the first four picks at the 1 hole was a MAJOR coupe in my opinion, but I could be wrong...

You are not wrong in feeling secure over your picks and can try to run the gauntlet with them. I would highly recommend trading from the middle of your WR/RB ranks with Big Ben and upgrade you starting QB and make Palmer your #2. I am sure someone has a better QB that needs help at those spots you can negotiate with

OK you guys say to attempt to trade or upgrade at QB using "Big Ben" as bait. That's not gonna happen. Here's why

Team 1: E. Manning & A. Smith
Team 2: J. Flacco
Team 3: P. Manning
Team 4: A. Rodgers
Team 5: K. Kolb & M Stafford
Team 6: M. Schaub & C. Henne
Team 7: T. Brady
Team 8: P. Rivers & B. Favre
Team 9: D. Brees & D. McNabb
Team 10: J. Cutler
Team 11: T. Romo & M. Ryan

As you can see, there's no way a QB trade is gonna happen to get the so called upgrade as 5 of the teams in the league only have 1 QB! Team 8 won't cough up P. Rivers for Big Ben with a very shaky Favre already getting injections to his ankle. The other 6 teams that have back ups would never cough up their # 1 for Big Ben. Would you?? No way!
I think I'm in alot better shape than you guys think with Palmer as my number 1. I know it's only preseason but in Palmer's one quarter of work in preseason week 3 he was 9/11 95 yds and 2 TDs. You guys are under estimating the impact of FA pick up
T. Owens and their 1st round draft pick J. Gresham in my opinion. Let's not forget the also have C. Benson which will keep the defenses honest. That's just my opinion. Also, when Palmer has his bye in week 6. Who does the Steelers play? The Cleveland Browns. Yeah I'll stand pat. Thanks for the advice anyways guys...

Also I'd like someone to post a draft they had in a 12 team league with a flex RB/WR option that had the 1st pick in the draft and let's stack up that roster with what I drafted and then we can have a better way to gauge this real draft to another. Don't you guys think that'd be a good idea?

There is one tweak I'm looking at making with my roster. Dropping K. Walter for T. Heap. Back up TE for O. Daniels. What do you guys think?

I think your QBs are fine, and it's the strategy I'd go with in a deep year at QB. Pretty stacked 1/2/3 punch at RB; can you start all 3?
Your WRs are solid with some good upside, if unspectacular...no true superstar, so your RBs will have to carry you. Owen Daniels, if healthy, will be awesome.

Not a bad team. With some good management, you should do ok.

@Goldark:
Yes I can start all 3 RB's. The are the few stud RBs that are in a one back system that have no competition to deal with too. As I stated in my previous post on this thread, I'm considering dropping K.Walters and picking up T. Heap. Yes O.Daniels will be awesome if he's healthy and if so, the only TE that's on the waivers worth picking up as insurance is Todd Heap. Not going with Dustin Keller as I'm not sold on Sanchez. What do you think, pick up T. Heap and drop K. Walters?
