12 team league, pick 8, WHIR

Postby default01 » Wed Sep 01, 2010 9:05 pm

I just finished my draft and am excited about this team. We play 2 flex, so I loaded up on RB early and didn't take my first WR until round 7. We also include return yards (= pass yards) for our scoring so I'm looking at Sproles and Cribbs to have increased value. Starters are in bold.

QB: P. Manning
RB: S. Jackson, J. Charles, A. Foster, M. Forte, L. Tomlinson, D. Sproles
WR: M. Floyd, M. Wallace, D. Aromashodu, J. Jones (HOU), J. Cribbs, J. Gaffney, M. Williams (TB)
TE: J. Finley
D/ST: Cincinnati
K:

I'm going to try to figure out a trade to free up a roster space for a kicker before the season starts. Any suggestions on who to target? If I can't get a trade done, who do I drop for a kicker?

Trade one of your RBs along with a WR for an upgrade at WR. Maybe Foster and Floyd for a lower end #1 WR. You currently have 2 #3 WRs which isn't gonna cut it. You might be able to even get Fitz as people are down on him with the QB situation and his injury. Every thing i have heard has been he will be ready week one. Easily a top 3 talent at the position.

Btw if McCluster is available u may wanna pick him up...he should have a lot of return yardage and play as a RB and WR as well.

You should be OK but I wouldn't have gone Forte over a decent WR. I don't trust him. If one of your WRs step up you should be fine but if not you'll need to trade up for one. I'd drop Gaffney for your Kicker.

Floyd, Wallace and Jones could all be WR2's this season, and Aroma could be a 3. Williams again has great upside, I like this team. Trading for a WR1 isn't a bad idea though. Maybe Forte for Boldin or something. A low-end WR1 is all you need to team up with what could be 3-5 breakout WRs.

Can't say I'm a fan of SJax, especially at 8. I think you probably could have nabbed him on the way back. Charles in the third is a nice play, and Foster could be very good, although I just don't like the situation.

Overall a very solid team as long as SJax holds up cause he'll be the consistent cog along with Peyton on a very volatile fantasy roster.

Look for the teams that are currently hurting at RB or just have a glut of talented receivers and post up the rosters.
