4th pick, 12 team PPR.... WHIR

Postby freshlesh » Wed Sep 01, 2010 11:25 pm

1pt 10 yd rsh, 1pt 15yd rec, 1pt 25yd pass, PPR, 6pt any TD.... 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, Flex,1TE, 1Def, 1 Kicker

My draft:
Rd 1: MJD
Rd 2: R. Wayne
Rd 3: Addai
Rd 4: Ronnie Brown
Rd 5: Welker
Rd 6: Owen Daniels
Rd 7: Leon Washington
Rd 8: Chester Taylor
Rd 9: Flacco
Rd 10: K. Britt
Rd 11: Eagles D
Rd 12: Buckhalter
Rd 13: Snelling
Rd 14: Hasselback
Rd 15: M. Crosby

I love my first 5 rounds.People can fight me on Addai that early, but I like him. Donald Brown can't block and you need that for Manning. I like Daniels, too.The knee is scary, but he was amazing until he got hurt. After that, I tried to fill up the team while taking as many backup RBs as possible. Be honest.... what do you think? Overall, I feel like I did very well. It's always subjective, though..... WHIR!!!

I like your first 5 rounds too, and Addai is the right pick there as far as I'm concerned. I'd have considered a second TE since Daniels is on a limited snap count for at least week 1. Flacco at 9.4 is a steal, he went 6.2 in my draft (I had planned to get him at 7.2). In a PPR league, I'd have tried to spend late round picks more on WR's rather than RB's (a Mike Williams or Laurent Robinson, who could pop if things fall right). But overall, you're solid.

Well, I definitely like your round 1,2,4,5 picks. You hit on two of the picks that I don't like: Addai and Daniels.

I wouldn't take Addai there but he could be worth the pick if you think he performs like last year. Daniels' recovery has me more worried. If a TE like Celek was available, I would have rather taken him there, or filled in the bench and waited for Shiancoe or Zach Miller.

Flacco was a great value but there's no one on your bench that I'm really excited about. You should check the waivers for some sleeper WRs.

Honestly, it looks like a middle-of-the-pack team. I think you're loaded with risky picks and missing some high upside picks. Your round 4-7 picks are all coming back from injuries. Even if they come back completely healthy, I don't see Daniels or Washington significantly outperforming their draft position, though Brown and Welker definitely could.
