Need a grade on this draft

Postby BearsFan65 » Wed Sep 01, 2010 11:59 pm

Originally posted in wrong forum (sorry) Help grade this draft, please? 12 teams, 13 rounds, PPR scoring. I didn't expect this to happen, but...

[EDIT: We play QB, 2RB, 3WR, TE, K, D/ST.]

1. (2nd overall) Adrian Peterson
2. (23) Roddy White
3. (26) Ryan Mathews (could have had Colston or Boldin here)
4. (47) Dwayne Bowe
5. (50) Arian Foster (could have had Clark or Gates here)
6. (71) Malcom Floyd
7. (74) Eli Manning (Flacco and Kolb both gone here)
8. (95) Jets D/ST
9. (98) Jabar Gaffney
10.(119) Jacoby Jones
11. (122) Zach Miller
12. (143) Dexter McCluster
13. (146) Dan Carpenter

3 RB's in the first 5 picks was not the plan at all, but the values on Mathews and Foster just seemed too good to pass up. I figure I got 4 #1 WR's (not WR1's, but top WR on their respective teams) and a rising #2 in Jones. Comments? Should I be thinking about moving Foster or Mathews while their stock is high, for.....what, exactly? QB upgrade and RB downgrade? Thanks for the input, try not to beat me up too much on this one!

What are your roster spots? Makes a big difference....I am going to evaluate your team assuming 2rbs and a flex.

I like your pics a lot--- especially Mathews and Foster. Overall, it loks like you took great value at each round. I'd be very happy....Don't worry about Eli or your WRs. Your RBs are solid enought that you can take the hit at those spots. I'd sit tight for 5 weeks or so and try to get some serior trade value from Foster to add a top QB or WR. Good job.

Help me?

I like your team. Your RB's are rock solid, almost epic if Foster performs. You are a little thin at WR, but not by that much. Roddy will be a stud and Floyd may be the man in San Diego. Even if they underachieve you still have Jacoby Jones, who will end up starting instead of Bowe. Eli is not gaudy, but he will do the job. I also think Zach Miller will be a top 8 TE this year. Basically, you have average to above average players at the WR and QB positions. However, your RB's will propel you easily to the playoffs.

I give your team a 8.5-9 out of 10. Playoffs with potential for championship. Just spread out the value with a nicely timed RB trade for a QB or WR.

Thanks for the help on mine.
