12-Team Redraft with nothing but upside

QB: Manning/Henne
RB: DeAngelo, Mathews, Stewart, Spiller, Tomlinson
WR: Colston, Mike Wallace, Aromashodu, Devin Thomas, McCluster, Bess
TE: Winslow

We start 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 DEF. We may be adding a flex, dependent on a league vote. Truly hoping we do because I have five very good RBs in my opinion.

Just wondering what you guys think. I really didn't do much research this year for the first time in a long time, just been very busy with school, but I'd love to hear your input. I know my WRs are hurting but there's not much I can do about that right now.

(relatively) Notable WRs in Free Agents: Arrelious Benn, Golden Tate, Nate Washington, Roy Williams, Brandon LaFell (could be a starter?), Nate Burleson, Manningham, Anthony Gonzalez, Earl Bennett, Josh Morgan, Louis Murphy, James Jones.

Any and all help is appreciated, and if my input is desired (I was at one point considered an "Expert" on this board), I will gladly help you out.

I think you went too heavy on RB in the earlier rounds. I'm guessing the Stewart or Spiller pick would've been better suited to upgrade the WR position. Not a terrible team. Of the WRs on the WW, I think James Jones and Nate Burleson have the most potential, but just be active on the WW once the season starts.

I agree that you're too RB-heavy early given your settings. If your league does add a flex position, I like the team a lot more and think you made the right picks. If you don't add a flex, you should look into making a trade for a WR.

If that's Peyton, I think you've got an extremely strong team, but given your other picks, I'd guess it's Eli which should still be a very good team.

That's a good watch list for when the season starts. I like Burleson, Murphy, and Morgan the most.

I kind of regret the Mathews pick but don't want to trade him. In the early going rounds I look for the players with the highest value, and Mathews was sitting there at 14. I could have grabbed Roddy White, Calvin Johnson, Brandon Marshall or Greg Jennings there but I looked at Mathews' situation and couldn't pass it up. I also briefly forgot how far of a gap between picks I'd have to deal with and there was a run on top-WRs. Third round I nabbed Colston with Boldin on the board, which I now again kind of regret, but I looked at the guy drafting with the next two picks and didn't expect him to touch Boldin. Then of course he grabs Boldin and I'm left with a board of Stewart, Crabtree, Clark, Rivers, NYG Smith and felt there was a severe dropoff after Stewart, so I went with the points. Crabtree could be a nice addition but I don't have much that faith in the 49ers pass game that I think Crabtree will break 1000/10, which Stewart has done for two years running.

Then I was left with Spiller, Best, Celek, Garcon, Wallace, Floyd, Maclin, Mason, Ward, Knox and I went with what I felt was by far the best player in the group in CJ Spiller. It was just a consequence of everybody letting great RBs fall to enforce their WRs, and not to mention I came into this draft with CJ Spiller, Chad Henne, DeAngelo Williams, Forte and MSW as "must-pick" kind of guys. Missed on Forte by one and MSW by half a round.

If I were to deal a Spiller, Stewart, Mathews or even DeAngelo, which receivers do you think I should strive for? Mathews for Jennings? Spiller for Crabtree? Stewart for Boldin?
