WK1 - Greene or Foster? WHIR

Postby bisklimpkit » Thu Sep 02, 2010 11:28 am

I have Greene vs BAL or Foster vs Indy. Indy allowed 600 more rushing yards last season than Baltimore did so I'm leaning towards Foster. Thoughts?

Leave a link and I'll try to help you out.

We are in a similar boat. The opinions I've been receiving say Foster. I'm almost certain I'm starting him week 1. I'm hoping that you, myself, and many others found a later round gem in Arian. He doesn't have much competition either. Greene's gotta fight with LT, who is going to get decent # of touches. Tough choice, but I think Foster is going to surprise a lot of people.

I actually have him in a league that has some rookies. One guy dropped Foster and Portis to get James Jones and Devery Henderson, so I picked up BOTH Foster and Portis off of waivers this morning. This particular fellow already has MJD, Ryan Mathews, McFadden, and Ricky Williams at RB, so I guess he figured he was set there and needed some WR help. I wonder why he didn't try any trades, but I guess that's what you learn over a few seasons!

Thanks for the opinion. I'm going to run with Foster until something happens that makes me think otherwise.

I'd also have to say Foster. It seems that he's getting a lotta love right now in fantasy circles. I think that LT will steal carries from Greene and they're up against a tougher run defense. Foster will get more carries...especially if they bring in Slaton and he fumbles again. I'm considering starting Foster over either Steven Jackson or Ronnie Brown in week 1...call me crazy!

Help with mine?

I would go with Foster despite the fact that Houston has been a pass first offence in the past and the Jets are trying not to let Sanchez get too rattled, so will look to run the ball more. That being said, I think Baltimore will stack the box, limiting Greene's success and forcing Sanchez to go up top and test his pocket composure and passing accuracy.

i have both of these guys as well and im going with foster for week 1. i think shonn will put up some points this year, but not against the ravens. the texans and colts usually winds up a shoot-out and foster is bound to get the ball in space often.

Go with Foster...tough matchup for Greene against the Ravens def, and LT is going to be a real threat I think.
