High Risk/Reward Team. Need help with improving

Postby Deeman8351 » Thu Sep 02, 2010 3:08 pm

14 Team League, PPR, I was in the 11 spot. Here's the link to our draft results and my team name is Jerry Jones Godson. http://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com ... aftresults

I wasn't planning on going RB, RB, RB but thought I had to when S. Greene was available at the end of the 3rd round. I need some help figuring out who I should trade to get a stud WR. Heres my team:

Kevin Kolb, Matt Cassel
R. Mendenhall, S. Greene, R. Mathews
M. Crabtree, M. Wallace, K. Walter, D. Aromashodu, J. Cribbs, D. Amendola
J. Finley
D. Buehler
Packers D
14 Team Yahoo PPR, 2WR, 2RB, Flex
M. Stafford, T. Tebow
D. McFadden, S. Greene, M. Hardesty, D. Murray
A. Johnson, D. Bryant, M. Manningham, S. Breaston, M. Crabtree
J. Witten
J. Feely
Jets D

Ill admit, I think you really need to do something about the WR's. I would try to dump Matthews before the hype is gone. Maybe package him and Wallace and see what you can get.

Oh yea I forgot to say that its 2RB/2WR/1 Flex(WR/RB) starting. So I would be starting Greene, Mendenhall, and Mathews then Crabtree and Wallace. I just can't decide if i should try to trade R. Matthews who's hyped up or S. Greene since LT has had a good preseason.

I would trade matthews. I don't think he can live up to all the hype he's getting right now.

Although all 3 of you RBs are very good, none will probably have a ton of catches (Mendenhall will be the only one with 3rd down duties), so either Greene or Matthews I would say. Not too worried about LT and definitely not worried about Sproles as threats to touches for either outside of catching passes. I agree that Matthews has the greater value at this point (evidenced by Greene being there for you at pick 39), but I would shop them both and see what I could get in return. You will probably need a package deal as well cause u only have 3 RBs. Maybe Matthew and Wallace for a top 5-10 WR (Fitz, White, Marshall -all should have high catch totals) and maybe a P. Thomas, Charles, J, Stewart, possibly even Best- once again all should have significant catches but Stewart although he is the favorite to lead the group in TDs.
