I'm in a 10 team h2h keeper league (5 keepers per year) and was thinking about trying to trade for a good WR. I have Arian Foster on my bench right now, should I try and trade one of my starting RB and a WR for a good WR?
QB. Tony Romo WR. Dwayne Bowe WR. Hakeem Nicks WR. Johnny Knox RB. Rashard Mendenhall RB. Ryan Grant TE. Kellen Winslow WR/RB. Pierre Thomas BN. Arian Foster, Santana Moss, Eli Manning, Vincent Jackson, Mohamed Massaquoi, Thomas Jones DEF. Bengals K. Matt Prater
I was thinking about going after one of these three: Calvin Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald, Roddy White (all of their owners could use a RB) Would giving up Pierre Thomas and Johnny Knox be enough or too much? Ryan Grant too much? Or just try something else?
I actually prefer Thomas over Grant, so I'd try offering Grant for White or Johnson first as a fair 1-for-1 trade. If you have to include a WR, I'd start with Moss before Knox and ask for something in return, like a backup RB, unless you have a FA you're planning on picking up.
I think trading Thomas and Knox would be overpaying a little, but it would improve your starters. I'd be a little hesitant but would probably go with it if I couldn't get anything else figured out. I'd rank the targets White > Johnson > Fitz.

Foster is a wildcard. He has a high upside and lots of folks are drooling over him this year.
This means one of two things. A) He gives you flexibility to deal Grant/Thomas/Mendenhall for a top tier WR, being fairly confident that Foster will have a decent season as your #3 back or B) His perceived value at this point is more than his actual value and you could deal him to an owner who might be drooling over him for a decent #2 WR.
If I owned Jennings, I'd never take Foster in a 1-for-1 unless I had two other stud receivers and were really weak at RB. The home run potential would be enough in that case. Depending on what you believe w/r/t T Jones and how many touches he'll get, you're one injury away from needing another quality RB, and Foster might be your guy. I wouldn't trade Foster in a redraft league with your lack of depth at RB, and in a keeper league I'd be even less inclined to make a deal for him just yet, unless you can get a WR and a RB in return. But that 1-for-1 deal would be out of the question for me with no games having been played yet. Good luck!
