The immediate impact of this is "0", however, I do agree that Kubiak can be a pain in the ass, if Foster gets in the doghouse, I guess it's something to worry about, and if you're feeling ballsy, maybe Foster has a big start of the season & ups his already high value...
IMO, a lead back in an explosive offense is a high value commodity in ff nowadays - that's still the way I view Foster, regardless of after camp FA adds.
My problem isn't with the player- Foster's skilled- it's the coach. He'll bench him at the drop of a hat. And 2 RBs he praised in TC/preseason (Henry and Johnson) he's trying to move to the practice squad. They'd be readily available at Kubiak's whim.

I agree this signing should at least make people think for a minute. But there is a ton of upside with Foster. No matter how much Ward showed with the Giants, he apparently could not beat out Cadillac last year, so he's not likely to beat out Foster, who is a great back.
I drafted Foster at 4.04, and I don't think I'd push him down much below that because of Ward. But apparently he's been going in earlier rounds after his game against the Cowboys first team D. I'd be reluctant to take him anywhere earlier than late third. But he has a ton of upside.
Kubiak’s offenses always have been based on balance. The Broncos’ running game focused around a strong system instead of an individual. Broncos runners topped the 1,000-yard rushing mark 10 seasons out of 11 during Kubiak's tenure. Denver saw five different runners rush for more than 1,000 yards, more than any team in the NFL over that 11-year period.
As the HC in Texas over the past three years, split of carries: 131/101/79/54 2009, 268/74/26/31 in 2008, 194/70/58/20 in 2007 To me, 08 and 09 look like the extreme's. I could see a close to 2007 split, with Foster getting the ~200 carries
