Help! Weak at WR, need to trade? WHIR 100%

Postby liono123 » Sat Sep 04, 2010 1:30 am

I just concluded an auction draft for a competitive money league. We start 1QB, 1RB, & 4 WR/RB/TE with a max of 3 total RB. I plan to start 3RB + 2 WR/TE or 2RB + 3 WR/TE.

Ppr league, with bonus scoring for 100+ yard games, huge bonuses for 150+ yd games for RB or WR/TE. All TDs are 6 pts. 18 total roster spots.

I HATE my WR, but I never picked up a top guy. What should I be looking to trade, or do I stand pat?

QB: Schaub, Garrard
RB: Ray Rice, Gore, J Stew, Donald Brown, McGahee, A. Dixon
WR: Crabtree, Maclin, Malcom Floyd, Legedu Naanee, Jacoby Jones, P. Crayton
TE: Vernon Davis, Zach Miller
Dst: Saints
K: Tynes

I'm thinking of maybe offering J Stew + one of my WR for Hakeem Nicks. Is this a good idea? Nicks owner has DWill.
12 Team $ (PPR + Return Yardage):
    QB: Tom Brady, Andy Dalton
RB: Charles, Lynch, Martin, Stewart, DeAngelo Williams, Rashad jennings, Joe McKnight, Leon Washington
WR/TE: Antonio Brown, Brandon Lloyd, Randall Cobb, Ted Ginn
    K: Bryant
    DST: Bills

I would not get rid of Stewart for Nicks. If you can start 3 RBs then I would definitely keep Stewart there. He is necessary for RB depth and as a potential starter. I don't really see much options you have for trading. I think you should just watch the waiver wire closely and pick up the receiver that gets off to a hot start.

why J.stewert plus a wr for nicks?...i'd try just j.stewert by himself for nicks if thats the route you wanta go..... j.stewert has slightly more value than nicks.

I'd personally rather start your top 3 rbs with j.stewert included
crabtree and malcom floyd ar both number 1's on their team, and jacoby jons is probable gonna get the number 2 roll in a very high power'd offense in the texans.

How many teams are in this league?

I don't know about your trade. With your starting requirements, you don't really need many WRs (especially with 2 good TEs). I think Crabtree does very well, and Maclin improves. And I expect Vern Davis to put up WR2 numbers, and Miller WR3 numbers. Despite the RBBC, Stewart gets his touches. And he turns into a monster if something happens to DWill. With the performance bonuses, I think Stewart is more likely to reach them than Nicks in a given game. And even if you wanted to do a trade, isn't Stewart's ADP a couple rounds ahead of Nicks? Doesn't seem like you should be thinking of throwing in extra guys from your side.

Anyway, I think I'd stand pat. And invest in a DWill voodoo doll :-D

12 team money league, with 4 or 5 other stacked teams, and some weaker ones. I have the best RB in the league, but some other teams are pretty sick, too. Weaker teams include the guy that bid 100 on Chris Johnson and 75 on Aaron Rodgers, then filled up his roster with scrubs, etc.

Should I drop Crayton and pick up Mike Wililams SEA now that Housh is out?
