Defending Champ- Does This Roster Help to Repeat?

Postby captaininsaneo » Sat Sep 04, 2010 4:11 pm

14 Team League (Had #1 selection)
We Play 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 Def

QB- Jay Cutler, Carson Palmer
RB- Chris Johnson, Jamaal Charles, Caddilac Williams, Michael Bush
WR- Steve Smith (NY), Steve Smith (Car), Malcolm Floyd, Bernard Berrian
TE- Chris Cooley
K- David Akers
Def- Miami (normally pick up best available on waivers based on match up)

QB has me somewhat concerned- not sure if either is a clear cut choice for the season.
Thoughts?

I wouldn't start buying polish for your trophy just yet. Your QB situation should be fine, both will have average seasons so they will do you just fine. Your WR's are pretty good and so are your RB's. I would attempt to get a good RB3 incase charles doesn't turnout to be what so many think he will and a replacement on bye weeks.

I agree with this. It's going to be a battle and you do need RB3 depth since I don't like your choices. It's a solid team however.

I think for a 14 team league that's about as good as you could ask for. Decent RB depth with Caddy as a 3rd and Bush as a 4th when he returns from injury. Floyd projects to be a low-end WR2 by most so as a 3rd WR he's good depth as well. I think Berrian is being overrated recently however, but as a 4th WR in a 14 team league he should be just fine. Good luck!

I think you have a strong squad, but should look out for receivers on the waiver wire. Your QB's look strong to me, and I love Charles this year at RB. Maybe just because I drafted him also. I think you have a good chance to repeat, but as fantasy football goes, its not just who you draft its who you pick up and who you play. Good Luck
