Andre Carter: DL or LB (WHIR)

So i have a defensive line slot to fill
we start 5 idp's, but plenty of good guys left.

i picked up andre carter because he's got dual eligibility at DE and LB.

i figured if i have an extra LB starting in my DL slot, i get a more consistent performance.
DL seems to the most difficult slot to predict with more reliance on sacks, so just having a guy who gets tackles seems like a no-brainer right.

SO DOES ANDRE CARTER ACTUALLY START AT OUTSIDE LINEBACKER FOR WASHINGTON?

Yes he is a starting LB for Washington, Right Outside LB to be exact.

The reason Andre carries the DL/LB tag is because the Skins have just switched to a 3-4 Base D this year after running a 4-3 all of last year. It will be interesting to see tho as they may end up doing a bit of a rotation between the 3-4 and 4-3, because in a 3-4 Haynesworth would have to play DE which just doesn't work (if he plays) whereas in the 4-3 Carter would drop down to the DE slot.

Odds are tho they stick with the 3-4 with Albert's jerk-offedness, and because Carter can play either position and Orakpo is better fitted as an OLB.

there's plenty of good DL guys available, also chris kelsay is another LB qualifying as a DL.

I'd stay away from Carter. He's been exposed all preseason in coverage and has just looked awkward in the 3-4. Your much better off with Orakpo if you have the choice on that team. Otherwise I'd go with a Avril or someone else.

orakpo isnt DL eligible. avril is, but there's a lot of DL's i'd rank above him as listed above.

doesn't matter if carter gives up yards as long as he gets tackles.

i guess i'm gonna give him a chance this weekend and if it doesn't pan out, i'll go for a standard DL.
