I've been offered Jamal Charles or Rashard Mendenhall straight up for Matt Forte; owner's convinced that Forte returns to top 5RB status in the Martz offense. I think he may be right...
Charles and Forte both have huge upside tampered by time share; Charles has an easier schedule. Mendenhall gives me a consistent number of carries, but fewer receptions and mixed schedule. Would you take the trade, and for which RB? Wait until Forte plays Detriot next week then widen the search?
Leave a link I'll be glad to take a look. GOOD LUCK this SEASON!

Jamal Charles is special. Cassel looks good. I would take charles in a heartbeat.
6pt tds, 1 pt ppr competitive 10 man league QB Rodgers, Smith RB MJD, Matthews, Spiller, McGahee, R. williams WR: J. Jones, Torry Smith, Lafell, Britt, Young TE: Hernandez, Bennet D:Eagles
there is no way to mess this up the both are great picks and both are better then Forte and as far as a Martz offence well he dont care that much for rbs he is all pass trust me the guy had marshell faulk and he still passed
12 Team League. We start 2 QBs and get .5 PPR, otherwise standard scoring QBs: Stafford, Fitzpatrick, Collins RBs: Charles, Mendenhall, Best, Starks, Carter, Karim WRs: D. Jackson, Marshall, S. Smith, Green, TE: Hernandez, Cook
Some good opinions expressed but no decisive blows landed.
My squad is loaded with "upside" players looking to take advantage of our league's scoring. Outside QB, what I lack is clearly "safety".
So, shoot the moon and go with Charles and hope his "special" talents help him overcome the Thomas Jones timeshare and pray that he has a 16 game season in him that looks like the end of last year when he helped win a lot of league championships... including two for me...
Or, add take the "safer", workhorse pick with Mendenhall and hope the Steelers keep him on the field for more 3rd downs this season...
Anybody else have a strong argument either way?

well i say either way your getting a better rb in the deal no matter what.. mendenhall is a workhorse and will get ALOT of carries with dixon as the qb in pitt till big ben comes back. even with big ben back i see mendenhall as a top 10rb in the league, hell get some catches too, not alot but definatly a couple every game. With charles im still very unsure about him. he could become a top 10rb in the league or he could be a solid rb with jones stealing carries and tds in the redzone.. although charles will get more catches i see mendenhall as the better choice. you have alot of low risk/high reward type players, id personally go with the sure thing in mendenhall and get the safe and constant pts every week.
I would choose mendenhall. I love charles but the chiefs just are not that good and t.jones is around. Mendenhall on the other hand is a feature back who get get 20 carries a game and goalline carries. I would trade forte for either 1 of them though. Good luck making the right choice.
