Even given the caveat that I'm apparently more skeptical of the degree to which Tomlinson will split carries in NY than most, I think the answer here is Bush, hands down.

I'd be stunned if Bush isn't a more prominent part of the offense in New Orleans than Tomlinson is in New York over the course of the year, and on top of that Tomlinson draws the Ravens' D Week 1.

Bush,...especially if u get return yardage, and or PPR. I still like Bush in the limelight of opening night vs Minnesota....with the whole world watching.

Kinda sucks they are both agaisnt Good Run Ds.

I would go with bush week 1, but I could see LT getting some good time this year, I expect him to have a pretty good season if he doesnt get hurt.

Bush simply because he doesn't have to go against the Ravens

Bush this week cuz of the Ravens D, but I really see LT getting a decent workload this season.

Hopefully you all see this, I went back and forth over this decision all week and considering the matchups, my own intuition, what we saw in the preseason and the lack of Ed Reed, I sat Bush last night (4FPTS) In favor of LT. With the saints game in the book I can feel vindicated about this decision if Tomlinson can put up the measly 5 points he's projected to get this week. I kind of just wanted to air this out because many people may not believe that this was an actual scenario heading into week one. I'll be posting soon the WR dilemma i have for this week too. I'll post link in a few. thanks for all the feedback guys, sorry i had to go against the grain on this one.

Good call on this one. Now would you start Tomlinson over C.J. Spiller? I have Wells but this is assuming he will be out or limited this weekend.

I love me some LT this year, I think the experience he brings to the Jets run heavy zone blocking system will yield him his most productive season since 2007. However he is running against the ravens (Ranked 5th against the rush in 2009). Whereas Spiller is up against the Fins (ranked 18th against the rush in 2009) and is the clear cut starter and presumably the most dynamic offensive weapon in the bills arsenal. With either pick you are going to have a lot of question marks, will the Ravens be able to marginalize LT and how many touches will LT get behind Greene? Will a rookie starter in Buffalo get enough opportunities to produce in what I predict will be a very lopsided game in favor of the dolphins. If it were me I wouldn't be willing yet to put my apples in the Bills basket and I wouldn't feel comfortable starting a rookie runner on a bad offense. I think that people are selling LT short, the Jets were able to get a 31YO Thomas Jones over 1400 yards and 14 TD's. the Jets put up over 2700 yards on the ground last season with 21 scores. If LT gets only one third of last years production he's still going to be flirting with 900 yards and 7 scores. That is solid RB2 material to me. I say go with LT this week until you can see what spiller has to offer in that Bills offense.

Good stuff! I have LT in the lineup. You spoke on all the same questions I have about these two. I don't think LT is "losing a step" or "washed up" like a lot of people are saying. Lets face it Sproles couldn't do much behind that charger line either. This is a tough match up this week for Jets offense but I'm going with LT and see what happens after this weekend.
