Ahmad Bradshaw trade for a WR

Postby GeneralTsou » Sun Sep 05, 2010 12:42 pm

I am loaded at RB with Bradshaw being my 5th RB.

at RB I have Michael Turner, Ryan Grant, Pierre Thomas, Arian Foster, Ahmad Bradshaw, LaDainian Tomlinson

What type of WR could I get in return for him?

That would really depend on how it all plays out for the first few games. He may be the "starter", but may probably split with jacobs 60-40. He may still lose out on the goalline carries. If he's still splitting a significant amount of carries for the first few games, you're probably looking only at a #3 WR. If the rumours are true, where he will get 18-20 touches, then you're looking at a high number 2 or low number 1 WR like Boldin, Jennings, Colston, etc. Best to wait a few games and take your chances. Right now, don't expect any quality WR's coz the dust hasn't settled yet.

First there is no way anyone in their right mind would give up Boldin, Jennings or Colston for Bradshaw. I'd say the best you could possibly expect for him right now is somewhere around Maclin, Garcon or Santana Moss at this time, and into the future (unless he pops off a few weeks of 100+yds and a TD or two) while Jacobs is still there he will get touches.

There is a guy in my league that has only 3 RBs on his roster: Chris Johnson, Matt Forte, and Justin Forsett. He is so thin at RB that he started Bernard Berrian in his flex spot this week(ouch).

He has Miles Austin, DeSean Jackson, Chad Ochocinco, Santana Moss, Bernard Berrian, Josh Cribbs, and Javon Walker as his WR. I def wouldn't give up Bradshaw for the last 3 but seeing how desperately he needs a RB, do you think I could pull off a Bradshaw for DeSean Jackson trade? or do you think I would have to settle for an Ochocinco?

The other guy would have to be brain dead to give up Jackson for Bradshaw, but try it and see. If ocho would start for you, I think that's good value for you.
